i've not heard of this trading standard 'law' but as a general rule, shops have the right not to sell it to you at the display price. this is because the display price is actually an 'Invitation to Treat' rather than an offer for sale. when you take the item to the till, you are offering to buy the item, and the shop can choose whether or not to accept this offer.

under the general law of contract, the manager is not in the wrong for not wante to sell it at the lower price. frustrating, i know. Good stores do actually sell it to you at the displayed price, not because they have to, but out of goodwill....having said that, boots service is crap anyway..so dont really expect them to...

you are right the shop can choose not to form a contract with the customer, though they can be reported to trading standards for breaking the law on correct pricing

I have been sent 3 lots of parenting voucher all for different ages for some reason, Most of them I wont use so if anyone would like them pm me and I will let you know what they are.

Also wanted to say a massive thanks to all the lovely ladys who work hard finding all these glitches and offers, I am now addicted and love it.

Hi again! Just back home, so I thought I'd check what is in the Clinique GWP I got yesterday . There is: 40 ml deep Comfort body butter, 50 ml Rinse off foaming cleanser, 50 ml take the day off make up remover, 30 ml Moisture surge extra thirsty skin relief and 30 ml 7 day scrub cream. Plus the wash bag.
You get that if you buy 2 skin care products.

If you add the 1200 points for 3 products bought, it wasn't too bad bootsing! :j

Went tonight to see if they had the Jemma Kidd nail files, and they did! I got 2 and got 500 points. :D

which Boots was this? My local one does not have any offers at the moment and I am having withdrawel from clinique at the moment. sob sob

It's in Belfast, the big Boots on Royal Avenue. I hope you find one near you...
I'd never used Clinique before, and I can already see a difference after 3 days! My nose and forehead are a lot less shiny, it's great! And the products are lovely to use too. :D
I think I might have another go next week if the offers are still on, and I'll get the full size bottles this time. What is this 750 points parenting voucher I've red about in this thread? I joined the club today, does anyone know if I have any chance of getting the voucher ? Now THAT'd be truly great! :rotfl:

It's on any memory card and its 1 voucher (500 points) per transaction.
Though i believe you can print the voucher at least 3 times - thus 3 seperate transactions required HTH

ah right so when i ring up i should say it was 500pts not 10%? it genuinely was my first order (but i genuinely did not remember to use the code!)

I told them about the 10% off code that I was only made aware of AFTER doing my first order.

I'd used a 500 point code for the order, but you should be able to use both (someone else here said they did).
