What is the EA gift set? Thanks.
It contains the 8 hour cream, 8 hour lip cream and 8 hour hand cream. If you search on ebay im think there will be some of the last ones."I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." — Marilyn Monroepinkladymel wrote: »she hasn't lost the ol' Bootsing magic:D

went to my local boots today and there was lots of mens grooming products on clearance.
Picked up 3 items from the Simple for Men Sensitive range (each £1.49) for my dad for part of his Father's Day stuff.
Bargain because they were on 342 AND because the ACM had a voucher for 100points when you bought 3x mens toiletries which were on 342!
So total spend £2.98 but with the points effective spend £1.98very happy!
I've got my aunt searching her office for extra copies of the Metro...managed to get 3 mascaras on their last offer by purchasing reduced lipstick (£3.99 each).0 -
Thanks for this, and for letting us know about the metro offer (clicked your thanks button 3 times but my laptop is playing up again and brings me back to the top of the page each time I try. Smillies not wiorking either?)
I must tell you what happened to me yesterday in the Notting hill branch. I sneaked out of work for a boots fix and spotted the maybeline unstoppable mascara was still advertised at 1/2 price. Took one to the till and it scanned at 5.99. I told the SA that was incorrect as there is a sign advertising it at 1/2 price. She agreed to let me have it at 2.99. However, when I handed over my 2.00 cosmetic voucher she said the till would not accept it. I explained I'd bought one just last week for 99p with the voucher (which is true) she started to talk really loud so the whole shop could hear our conversation. The manager came over and took down the 1/2 price sign. He said he couldn't let me have for mascara for 2.99 or 99p he said I had to pay full price for it. I told him he could not advertise something at 1/2 price and then expect customers to pay full price! In the end I said I would never go in there again because I didn't like their attitude. I'm glad I got that off my chest LOL I've been meaning to say that for a while now. That store has the worst customer service in the area. Bunch of jobsworths too!
sally06, I really empathise with you. I sometimes can't believe the attitude of the people working in the shops. It seems as if the money is coming directly out of their pockets. I always feel I am making something illegal when I want to use discounts or deals. I'm just profiting from their promos, which is the brand's intention in the first place. I remember the glitch with the soap, where someone reported the SAs reomoved all botanics soap after our fellow boostser "had the nerve" to try and use it!! I'm sure Boots (or Tesco, or any other big store) don't want their clients to feel unconfortable, that's why they always offer extra points over the phone. Over the phone, the client is always right, in store we are never ever right!! I'm an adult but I really hate when the SA start getting smart with me, that's so demeaning. As you said, I'm also glad I got that off my chest.;)
Sally06, why don't you call CS and ask if when an offer is advertised in store, the manager can cancel it before you pay? I'm sure a big brand as Boots is legally (?) bound to uphold their publicity (?). Or write to them complaining about that particular situation. [I'm saying this but in the end I never write, because I feel sorry for the person who might have problems in their job... well, except for the last tesco delivery guy who came 30 minutes late, did not apologize, did not call - as tesco TCs state-, dumped my 30 bags in reception --> I was sick, tired of waiting (2h30 hours), had paid for the delivery, so I wrote an email complaining. I just want to be respected as a consumer, nothing more...]
Back to boots: when do the new offers start? any news on those?0 -

Crikey, that's awful! I hate when a SA (or in your case a manager!) gets ars*y. I rarely go to that Notting Hill Boots unless I'm looking for a specific glitch not found in the Kensington one... you pop down here to HSK in your lunch instead, they'll look after you (unless you get the older grey haired woman who's incapable of understanding vouchers...). Look for a petite brown haired woman (just above shoulder length hair), i think her name is begins with M... she's fab, really sweet and lovely and puts vouchers through.
When I got something with wrong price on shelf, and paid full price (realised just as i was leaving) i went back to shelf to look and pointed it out to a SA stocking shelves, she realised it was an old price label but took me back to the till where I'd been served and they got me a refund to the reduced price (but obviously removed the tag off the shelf... it had expired the previous day and i'd genuinely not noticed).:rotfl:0 -
think someone said new offers start next week ??0

as a manager in retail i am aware of trading standards law and this manager has broken it, with a sign up saying the mascara`s are half price this applies to all of them so to refuse to sell them is not allowed as they are all in effect half price, had they been ticketed individually and just one was ticketed at 2.99 and the rest ticketed at 5.99 they could have refused to sell the one to you which said 2.99 as it could have been a customer price swap or something, however even in this case where they have refused to sell it they have to remove all of the products from the shelf and not put them out again for 24 hours, your 2.99 should have been honoured and again the products removed from the shelf for 24 hours beofre being put back to 5.99 as another customer may come back and say i came to buy this mascara and it said 2.99 this morning now it says 5.99, on the same day they should honour the price too.0
