Grrr... annoyed with useless Boots. It's still not restocked the shelves with the Revlon mascara that you get free (with another purchase) using the voucher from Metro last week. Bet the day after the voucher expires it'll be flooding the shelves!
Seduced by the Bourjois adverts for "1 second" nailpolish (dries in 50 *cough cough trading standards*, but glides on really quickly... though the advert is rubbish otherwise)... currently at £5.50, but you get 150 points. Used my £2 bourjois parenting voucher, so effectively only £2Debated the shades (mostly pinky or muted) so now have multicoloured fingertips, and was thouroughly boring and got the least interesting colour as it looked "neatest" :rotfl:
Other than that, 2 more packs of 6 diareze (used voucher from mag). No more mags still in store... wonder where the biiiig display full of them went. Sigh! Then a lunch (shapers one, not to diet, but to use the 50p off shapers meal voucher from the "quit smoking" pamphlet... thanks to whoever it was that mentioned the offer!) plus a pack of curaheat using a voucher for £1 off from the "womens health" pamphlet... because they work wonders on the cramps!
Kicking self now though as I realised the curaheat is on "buy one get 2nd half price" and although i meant to pick up 2 i forgot.... Rahhhh!!!
Total £9.28 spent, and 253 points back (remembered the 75points on a £10 spend voucher for once! worked as it was scanned before MOCs)
Debating if i can be bothered to return the curaheat to rebuy... lol might just chalk it up to experience:rotfl:0 -
I left my ac card in the machine a few months ago,got to the till and realised it had gone.the store manager phoned cs and got the card stopped immediately.when the new one came only 50 odd p was left on it and id had about £18.phoned cs and they put them back on for me.
The card had been used whilst i was stood with the manager whilst she was on the phone canceling it so they knew it wasnt me!!
you would be suprised at the detail they knew think it was something like:
ac card put in ac machine at 3.39pm,call made at 3.42pm to cancell card and the card was used at 3.43pm!!!
at least i got them back though!!
That's disgusting that someone was so brave to spend your points minutes after you left it in the machine. What if the SA's were looking out for your missing AC iyswim
I'm glad that you got your points back though!

Found this over the weekend if anyone's interested

They seem to have loads of reductions on the eletrical stuff (be aware though, some of it looks a bit rubbish, MP3 players with less than a G of memory I wouldn't want it if you gave it to me!) but the mini docker has 75% off, quite a bit of 1/2 price stuff and with triple points as well........0 -
misseypootle wrote: »I managed to leave my AC in the machine the other day as i was that busy thinking about getting the diareze and what I could disguise the glitch with. A very nice SA managed to get the card for me but she said if someone had have used the machine after me and taken my card then that would have been then end of the points for me. Although I only had about £11 on it as I use the points for topping up my phone, just beware if your card is lost then you have lost it for good.
Reminding you all of a good tip BhamDave recommends..... Store Boots Customer Service Number and your AC number in your mobile phone as a reminder in case you leave it in the machine.0 -

This may be a v v silly question but can you get more than one of the magazines when they come out? I thought they might be limited to one per AC holder or something???:j0

The SA's will only let u have one at a time, i usually pick up two and say one if for a friend, they are usually ok about, they scan one and they put the other one in the bag without scanning

I've just worked out that if you buy :
30 Hayfever tablets (Boots own brands) for £7.79 they are on BOGOF, so that is 60 for £7.79 (which makes them the same price as my Numark pharmacist!)
WAIT FOR IT..... If you have any of the old health club mailing vouchers (from January) then there are two vouchers for 50% off....they take 50% off the original price so ...
60 tablets for £3.90.... triple points so thats 48 points back (make sure you chuck something else in to make it up to £4)...so effectively £3.42 for 60 hayfever tablets!
Do this again with the other voucher exactly the same...and you'll be stocked up for summer!!! :T
Don't get too excited cos the vouchers run out on Thursday!!!
:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
