O/S Daily Monday 25th March

Options
O/S Daily Monday 25th March This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well”

  • Good morning all,
We haven't had any new snow either. It has started to thaw in places but it is just so icy now. It is so cold out there today.
Have just finished putting the washing on the airer. Everywhere is tidy, well, the bathroom will need a quick whizz round by the time everyone has finished in there. Need to get the packed lunches done.
Chicken, chips and salad for tea. Quick and easy.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Bitterly cold here, but no snow. Fish fed, DW loaded, hubby has a cuppa in bed, he's on the late shift so will not start work til 2, I've had breakfast & will set off in a sec.
    Have a lovely day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Lambs with little orange coats?! OMG, how cute must they have looked? :)

Put 8 more things on ebay last night and 2 of them have bids on already, with watchers on most of the others.

When I was in Aldi yesterday I saw some 'Knit your own scarf' kits for £2.99 so I bought two, to make scarves for my sis and MIL for Christmas - feeling VERY organised for having started my Christmas shopping in March!

Putting chicken curry in the slow cooker in a mo so that it will be ready when we get home. To be served with left-over egg fried rice - yum!

Still no snow here but cold. So glad you had a better night Halight - long may it continue! :)

Have a safe, warm and pleasant day all. :)

    Morning everyone

Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Light cloud, no new snow, and what we had yesterday has nearly all disappeared, wind is bitterly cold too.

DH up and had brekkie, not a stupid early start this morning, he will be leaving for work shortly.

Yesterday's roast chicken was delicious, managed to squirrel away some meat for tonight's risotto, will put some bacon and mushrooms in it too.

Didn't really do much yesterday, just chilled. Back to work today - it will be horrendously busy as all the changes to bens and c/tax come into effect on 1st April - people are now beginning to realise that the changes we've been trying to warn them about for the past year are now happening.

Keep safe and well, take it steady those with snow x

  • Good morning everyone :)

Less snow but still very cold and now we have a cracked windscreen in the car. Oh joy :(

Flying visit as I am off work but DH has hospital appointment for an X-ray and blood samples. Need to get there ASAP as it's fasted and he does not cope well without food and drink in the morning.

More pulled pork for dinner and a portion for the freezer too. Will come for some cooked breakfast after hospital and that will keep us going until dinner.

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super day :)
