Have you tried a Chinese / Asian cash & carry ?

Thank you Dippypud. My source until last week was a Chinese supermarket around the corner, where the service has always been super-helpful. On the day I found the blocked drain, the young lady was a tad unhelpful, and even denied having sacks of bicarb or soda which I found eventually. She really didn't have the big things of vinegar they used to stock, which may be temporary, but I need some in the cleaning cupboard, hence the pickling stuff. Cheapish, too, in comparion. I don't think Macro are around here, and I defo don't know anyone with a card.
    Better is good enough.

Back from what must rate as one of the most boring Governor meetings ever - downing a glass of pinot at an alarming rate and cooking fish fingers and chips!

I'll conjure up a list in a minute once I'm up to date on twitter.

msgnomey well done on the memory stick clearing
Honey Bear :j for the dog getting the plastic sheet

I've tidied away dry laundry from the weekend. Also washed up after tea, and done some of the basics in the kitchen. Fridge only needed a quick wipe through because I did a very thorough clean of it just about a week ago :A

Tomorrow I've a full day at work but will aim for some level 1 cleaning and some decluttering if I can muster the energy. List looks good but I'm always ok with the kitchen - it's too small to cause too much of a problem!

I am having a day off poorly :( have a chest infection and yesterday every time I started coughing I couldn't stop and ended up very lightheaded and dizzy, lack of oxygen I guess

so relaxing at home but bored!!! can't do too much strenuous or I'll cough!! so I have decided to eat a big frog and organise my very disorganised 32gb memory stick where I am sure I have most documents in at least 4 different places eeeeek wish me luck it could be a long job :D

Are feeling better for resting msg? At least you used the time wisely. Whilst up and stupid o'clock this morning, I unsubscribed from half a dozen survey sites that clog up my inbox. With the best will in the world, I simply don't have the time to do them and I find it puts me off opening my inbox regularly as I get overwhelmed.

Don't rush - pinot takes priority :rotfl:

Good day here - kitchen and lounge floors blitzed, hoovered most of the house, just hall, stairs and DS's room to finish off. WM x 2, TD x 4, our bed stripped and remade and 5 baskets of laundry just folded and put away. At one point it was 4 baskets to do:1 red wine decluttered. Now it's 5 baskets decluttered:2 red wine to do. A much better ratio! :T:beer::j:rotfl:

Made a mahoosive vegetable, chickpea and halloumi tagine with lemon and apricot couscous tonight and took some to one of the older members of staff at work who had a birthday on Saturday. She is an absolute angel - everybody loves her - staff and customers - she should have retired well over a decade ago, but she has more energy and fun than someone half her age! She's constantly running around after her grumpy, ungrateful so and so of a husband and never giving herself a second thought, whilst baking for all and sundry. The boss bought her vouchers for her to have a pamper at a local hair salon; another took her out for dinner to a lovely restaurant on Sat night whilst I covered her shift for her; another took her to Costa coffee for Lemon Cake and coffee; another booked her in for a facial and manicure. It was her birthday and she baked me and my family a cake, for goodness sake! She is the living embodiment of Karma.

    Dearie me, I don't half waffle, don't I? :rotfl:
