Good morning! I sat up late with DD and my crochet blanket last night. I've nearly finished 48 x 10cm squares, but still think I need at least 24 more :o Oh well - time to buy more wool :j:j:j:j:j

DD and I are off to The Northern Town of Many Charity shops today. I need to track down an outfit for a murder mystery, and possibly a new dress for DH's 25-years-at-work dinner. DD would like a "huge hat" for a day at Aintree races she and her friends have planned.

I got ahead and hoovered the sitting room yestaerday, so I'll crack on and see what else is on the list :)

    Good morning :D
    I am still here :o

I have been busy at the paid stuff, and DH has been keeping busy doing dailies, decorating & job hunting. He has had an email to say that someone is interested in talking to him about a job :j At last!! :je has been getting really down about it. What with that, starting counselling and continuing sorting out his debts (another appointment at the CAB yesterday) it has been a bit busy!

It is my busy work day today (only today & a short day tomorrow, then I am off until next Friday :j) Cottage pie filling taken out of freezer for kiddies dinner. just need to prep potatoes. No doubt most of will end up in the bin :mad: I don't know why I bother!! Bins are all out. I am going to set up some cutting & sticking now for the girlies to do. I have printed off some Easter eggs pics :)

Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. Will catch up later x

    Morning all

Been out walking with my friend and the sun even shone for a while.

Cuppa and empty WM first, then a shower and I'll take the hoover up so I can hoover and mop the floor whilst there.

Nice to see you, GI! Congratulations to your DH on all that he has achieved in the past few weeks with your support. I hope the job offer materialises. Decorating sounds good, too :T

My DH and I had a busy start to the week. An appointment for him on Monday at the memory clinic means that we are nearer knowing what is wrong with him. One diagnosis has been ruled out, but there is another which might be proven after more tests (which he wants to have done), which could be equally scary.

We have another person coming to view our house this afternoon, and one couple came back yesterday for the second time, while we were away with my DD and DGSs 1 and 2. So it's yet another "tidy and clean everywhere" flying schedule today, to be completed by midday. I mustn't forget to sweep up the mess of sunflower seed bits on the patio - the Terrible Three have been attacking the lantern feeder all morning and just keep looking at me, bold as brass, when I raise my fist at them  DH has gone to do his volunteering at the Cathedral welcome desk, so I have room to move at my own pace.

We had a fun day in London yesterday with DGSs 1 and 2, going on a train, a bus and the Underground, and ending up at the Natural History Museum again to see the dinosaurs. Still aged under 5, DGS1 has an encyclopaedic knowledge of dinosaurs and can quote all their names and feeding habits; he now has another model to add to his collection. DGS2 was particularly interested in the dinosaur eggs, and we also looked carefully at the eggs of a goldcrest, an ostrich and an elephant bird - I think he is hoping for a chocolate egg to match the last of those!

Hope everyone has a good day. Please help yourselves to (((hugs))), spoons or sticks if required. I'm just going to make myself a quick :coffee: before getting out the fevver duster to attack the cobwebs in the lounge. Anyone care to join me?

Good to see you back GI. I was thinking about you yesterday.

I hope Mr Ionafan's tests are helpful, and that he's getting some enjoyment from his retirement.

Dog is surprisingly chipper this morning, but not as bouncy as formerly (a good thing), and asked me to pass on her thanks for everyone's kind thoughts. Despite five square yards of bedroom carpet being plastic sheeted, she managed to position her business end just over the edge. How she manages it is beyond me.

Jazee I hope Sick Dog is still improving.
    Better is good enough.
