Just spent £21.39 on a AF order.I have halved this to around £10.70 and will add other half to June, as probably won't touch most of it until then. I will also add to sig once on laptop, as i'm off out later with Dad so might be more spends to add on.
The order included factor 50 suncream x 2 (not included in total as this wouldn't come out of Groceries), which my little red head needs (only 99p each - Lidl stock). Also, Emma's Wadi cordial x 2 and Mi Wadi x 2 (only available in Ireland afaik), hair-dye x 2 (75p each), olive oil, fish sauce x 2, soy sauce x 2, WUL x 2, cough medicine (£1.00) and a few treats. Most of this was in date!GC £150 a month for food, toiletries and cleaning Jan £134.58 Feb £137.18 Mar £118.89 April £Forever learning the art of frugality0 -

They only had Bananaberry created by Emma and orange and pineapple. I wish they sold it in the UK as i love the Bananaberry; but gather it was a limited edition and not something they intended to do all the time - which is a shame

I was very pleased with my market fruit bought on Friday, 2 bags grapes (1lb.4oz each) for 1.50 2 pineapples 1.00 and a punnet of strawberrys 1.50.
The grapes and pineapple I shared with my DD and they are really nice.
so was thinking I have had a very cheap week for fruit BUT was absolutely mortified on offering a tiny guest some strawberrys to find a punnet of rotting mush, I managed to salvage just 2, this has never happened to me before and I will not be buying these from the stall again.
Still very pleased with an overall spend on fruit (all I need to buy this month) of only 8.00. so far this month
Half a chicken and small joint of pork out of freezer for meals this week.Slimming World at target0 -

Popped into Al.. after Church and spent £4.93 so over again this week. I am okay about it as I know why - making sure I have enough stock in for when the workmen are here and I have no kitchen. So looking forward to cooking on new range and having a gorgeous kitchen but dreading the in between demolition etc.
I have ordered the F&B paint for the kitchen walls.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering Target - 2024 - 2,874 April - 252/325

How lovely Florence, a new kitchen! Well worth the bit of mess in between. Make sure you don't spend too much on biccies for the fitters and blow the budget!
I've just used up some mouldy sweet potatoes by making them into fritters (after chopping out the mnasty bits of course). I served it with a mango chilli lime salsa and it was really lush.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Afternoon all just popped on to update siggy and have a quick lookback/update on what you lovely peeps:A have been getting up to.. to date my monthly shop has come to £81.51, I know it sounds a lot and it makes me feel quite panicky wondering how I will get to the end of the month on my budget, but I have a freezer full of stuff and am ok for toiletries so should be just basics for next week or so ie bread milk veggies fruit etc. Unless any absolute bulk buy bargains come up then I cant resist ie Hubby uses Corsodyl recommended by dentist and its soo expensive, about 3.75 a bottle but Boots have a buy 2 get one free at the minute so have ordered 6 bottles which should see him through the next 3 or 4 months and will save me a wee bit on my budget:j OK off for a look on the shabby chic thread bye (waves)SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

I have suggested - well own up bossy Florenceem - told Mr F - that as we have spent over in the first 2 weeks of our 4 week GC  - we are only going to buy milk/fruit/veggies for the next 2 weeks.
Mr F started saying - but - no buts. :money:Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering Target - 2024 - 2,874 April - 252/325
