I am trying to meal plan but struggling to get enthusiastic.

My SIL brought me various vegetable and herb delights from London. I have lots of dill, trying to think of ideas. Zatziki? Feta and spinach pie? Potato salad? Nothing is really tickling my taste buds.

Never had dill as far as I can remember but am sure I have seen a recipe for potato cakes with dill.

Small spend of £5.77 this morning. Also brought Paul Hollywood's Bread book as had a £20 book gift card from Christmas. The book was £20 but had £10.51 knocked off it so still enough on the card for another book.

Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday weekend - typically it is raining here. :(
    MARCH £62.38/250
  • I've spent £18 today (though only really £9 as I had a voucher) on salt marsh grazed meat that was reduced by about 60% - probably too expensive for me without the YS! I got 4 packs which have been frozen for a treat sometime.

    Save £10,000 Jan-May 2022 THEN RETIRE!!
Final total for (half) year: -£4,000

  • Probably go to Mr T sometime tomorrow to get Everyday Value stuff that I need and is cheaper than Ald*/bits I can't get from Ald*. I've been AWOL for Mr T for a few weeks, so hoping might get voucher with my receipt to entice me back for next week's shop, you never know :).

    Evening All

Called in at Mr T, just bought the three items I needed now from Mr T (rest can wait for next week's shop) on the off chance of above actually happening, so ED Value Bio Powder 3kg £2.52, ED Value Golden Syrup £1.08 and Bakery Loaf £1.04. With my receipt, wait for it, £7 off £50 shop voucher. Woo hoo :T. So Mr T for next week's shop.

Also bought some gel for DD's verucca (lovely), over counter medicines part of GC so will add that to signature too.

    Right, time for BGT.

    Guineapigsqueaks x

    Keep Smiling :)

Billie-jo and Florenceem your meals look gorgeous as always!

Managed to stretch my Thursday whoopsie shop until today. Didn't fancy pie after all, so remaining gammon was used to make a pasta dinner with remaining fridge veggies. Also made some lemon cakes, will freeze one.

Have updated sig with the 2 NSD's but fridge and shelves are looking very bare now, so big shop planned for tomorrow.......

Spend of £3.79 on a large pack of Yorkshire tea bags from poundstret....
For dinner we had some pie again this evening - no room in the freezers.
We had HM pie with roasted butternut squash + roasted - beetroot/red onions/pepper/tomatoes.
First time I haven't peeled the squash.

£15ish spent on fruit, salad and juice today so in theory only £35 left for the next three weeks. Can't see any way of doing that. The good news is I won't be spending anything tomorrow. Enjoying reading all your entries. The pictures look great. Esther x
