Hello, spent £63.60 today between Co-op, Aldi, Approved Foods and Sainsbury's. This money saving malarkey is exhausting.
Got some YS bargains in fish and meat but quite a comedic scene as a lady before me seemed to grab everything in sight, much to the bemusement of her husband who moaned he didn't like any of it.
Am going to meal plan what I can now, I'm hoping what I have already will take me a fair old way. Bumped into people I know in Aldi and Sainsbury's so stood talking for far too long. My girls were making cakes for a cake sale while I was out and when I got back the dog had ate a good portion. It was chaos. . .
I picked up crispy Peking duck in Sainsbury's and put it back later, would have added a cool £9.50. Maybe next week0 -
Only 1st of the month, and I've already spent £42.19
I'm going to blame it on DD, as I had to go to Costc0 to get some bits she wants me to take over tomorrow. But at least it includes my breakfast cereal for 4 or 5 months and pure orange for a good while (12 cartons could last me 10 weeks or 6 months depening on the mood I'm in).Cheryl0 -

Did I tell you about the time I wrestled with someone over a whole salmon at the reduced to clear section in Tesc0?
(I had to explain to some fella that "I probably wrote my list before you" is not an adequate reason to snatch something out of someone's hand).
*I eventually got to keep the salmon - and it was delicious.MSE-ing since 20070 -

Good morning everyone:wave: Hope everyone`s doing O.K?
I`ve been AWOL since the middle of march as i`ve had other things that have kept me busy, but want to get back to the swing of my grocery challenge. So many pages to read and it`s only the 2nd .
I`m giving myself £400 again for this month and see how I go. I`m going to try to empty the cupboards and freezer this month and then restock again next month. So hoping what I save this month will go towards next months big spends.Grocery Challenge 2013: July week 1 £90/£87.41

K9sandFelines wrote: »Just to say for anyone else who maybe buys them, i stand corrected; but the Quorn Swedish Style meatballs are cheaper in the C*-*p by 25p actually. However, not sure if the bag is same size ... i have a feeling it is, as i think they only do one size of that particular product.
Beginning to wish i hadn't bothered with these meatballs now. I was charged £2.50 and they were advertised at £1.75. I didn't check the date the offer ran til , but i will go back just out of principal as 75p is a big o/c. Off to Audiology appointment now, so no doubt be back to report more spends later.
Will amend sig later

I spent far too much on grocery shops in April - too many visits to the shops on the way to and from work and I'm sure if I added them all up, I would be quite upset at just how much I had spent.
I haven't set a budget yet but I need to get organised - something I seem to have difficultly in doing - I need to get back to meal planning etc and try to stick to having one shop a week rather than visiting the shop daily and spending quids.
It's your choice as i use shopping as an excuse for exercise i do walk to lidl for the offers ect and get one or two things when i walk to tescos anything to get my km inGc 2013 +26 -5. -4 -7 -14 -15 -10.-8.20 +15p+30+5.80 Dec +9 GROCERY challenge 2014 Jan -2Feb -3 March -1.50 April +5.40 May +4.90 June -3.July 16.50/85
