This is probably going to take me over budget when i do my final shop of the month, unless i can last til the 1st of May.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 Sep £170.48?/£150 Oct £37.21/£180 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Hi everyone,
£7 spent in Ts just now on 4 frozen B!rds Eye chicken pies (DH is away and kids love them, he hates them!) potatoes and veg.
I've still got 10 more days of this challenge and £105 left, which seems like a lot. Hoping for an A!di voucher this coming week to give us a headstart for May. Anyone know how long they last? TIA

Hi all, many thanks for the support and hugs, and special thanks to a darling little Grandson, stardrops and a steamer my Kitchen is not looking too bad now, plus took the opportunity to out a lot of unused things, charity shop collecting on Tuesday.
I was really anxious to know how the firemen got in, as although there was a great boot mark on my front door, there was no damage, so I rang the station to ask, and it seems not only did I leave the pan on I also left my back door unlocked. I now have a big notice on the inside of my door, CHECK have you turned cooker off? Have you locked back door? Have you closed windows?
I reckon by the time I have gone through all these checks, I will have gone off the idea of going shopping so should stay in budget, on the other hand may just pick up the phone and order take away.
Again thanks for the support I dont know what I would do without this thread.Slimming World at target0 -

Bless you Mra C, I thought yes I will, I deserve it, fancied Pizza so went on line, had a freaky fit when I saw the prices 10.00 and remembered a YS pizza in freezer, 50p instead of 4.00 from Asda, 10 minutes in Halogen and thoroughly enjoyed it.Slimming World at target0 -

NSD here.
Thought about popping to Al.. as SS changes but couldn't be bothered. Spent the time instead trying to clean up a bit after a week of workmen here.
We had the ready meal from the freezer - postponed from last night. Sweet and sour chicken plus extra long grain rice and naan bread. Not great but dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I need to get back on the challenge. Payday was yesterday for me, so I am into May now - eek!
I know I went over in April, but not too badly - I think by about £40. I have done my first shops of May today, Aldi then Mr S, but made the mistake of taking my daughter so a few extras were bought. They were not food so can come out of my Misc budget. Off to crunch the figures and will update my sig.Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)
