Spent £47.27 in Mr M's yesterday, should be enough food to last the week there so long as we stick to the meal plan. It's a bit rough and ready this week, but I'm hoping to refine it for next week as I start to get the hang of things :)

Can you please let me know what Cloud 9 is? It's been bugging me for ages, and Google search yields nothing! :D

Spend of £7 on turkey breasts in Co0p , and £5 on lunch in Mr S...getting close to the target!

Hi Nick, they are on F/book if you are on there- full name Cloud 9 Bargains. They do catering size packs of cleaning stuff in 5l containers. They deliver to your door depending on where you live. If you're still interested and can't find them I'll pm you a link later (as on my phone at the mo).

Hi all, can I please join?

I have no idea what we spend on groceries as we don't do a regular weekly / monthly shop but do several large Costco shops (which include lots of items for family so I can't just add up the receipts), same with AF a couple of times a year and then smaller top up shops each month.

We have LOADS of food in, don't think we will need much this month. As a complete guess I will go for £150 for the month and will keep all receipts to see how I do against this.

There is only OH and me plus 4 cats. This will include all food, toiletries, cleaning products and cat food but we don't need much of the last 3 categories.

Looking forward to taking control of my spending :o
  • Morning all,

My month started on Friday and I spent some money over the weekend at Mr S, Mr T and on a chippy tea totalling £122.82:eek: We are well stocked up and I have listed one freezer and my big larder cupboard and meal planned for the next 2 weeks. I even managed to put a double batch of sausage casserole in the slow cooker this morning. As it has started to snow here today this will be very welcome tonight with lots of mash :) There will be enough for lunches tomorrow or another meal to put in the freezer.

My meal plan is looking good for the rest of the week including the bank holiday weekend although we will have fish and chips from an award winning chippy on Friday which we always do on Good Friday.

I was a bit annoyed with myself at the weekend as I didnt use a £9 voucher I had for Mr T as I thought they had expired and were in a different handbag:mad: but I did use a £5 voucher I had from their recent promotion where you spend over £40.

I have a £5 off £40 voucher and a £9 off £90 voucher for Mr T to use this week but I am not sure if I can use both in the same transaction. Does anyone know if this can be done? If it can I will stock up on some wine for our holiday:)

I will need to pop to Mr S tonight to get some n3ctar points added to my card and to buy some fruit and ham for lunches for the rest of the week.

Meal plan for the rest of the week is as follows:

T - sausage casserole and mash
W - pork with orange and apricots, new pots, carrots and broccoli
Th - SW Chicken kiev, new pots, green beans and carrots
F - Fish and chips (shop bought)lunch so soup and pudding for tea
Sa - Curry, rice and naan
Su - Lamb leg steaks, roasted new pots with garlic and rosemary, loads of veg followed by pudding and custard
Mo - Beef burger/GF veggie burger, spicy wedges, corn on cob and salad
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Spent £33.16 in MrT at lunchtime but added in some stuff for work to get to £40 to use my £5 off voucher. this includes a leg of lamb for Sunday and Easter stuff for dh and the kids as well as stocking up on loo rolls and washing stuff (to make sure I got to the total). Found gram flour in the world foods section for £2.39 for 2kg as opposed to the little bags at about £1.50 for 500g so well chuffed. And walnut pieces were a lot cheaper in the baking section than in the wholefoods section. Somehow I'd got out of the habit of checking - grrrr!

Hello everyone, can I please go down for £400 for April? Many thanks!

Our new council tax and water bills are here, few pounds more for each on top of other increased bills, so I HAVE to stay within budget this time. :D

There is plenty in the freezer and pantry, so I'm going to spend tonight doing a new stock take and meal plans for the next couple of weeks.

I have £6.50 in unused T@esco vouchers, plus a few MOC, so hoping that the first few days of April will be a little cheaper! :rotfl:

    A xo

sent hubby out with a list and the naughty man deviated! He came home with contraband cream cakes and spent £2 on spuds instead of 90p  That'll teach me to trust him!! :p

So a further £32.42 added to sig.

EDIT: He has just confessed to £4 on euromillions tickets and a £1.50 sandwhich .... the leather belt will be coming out for a bottom whooping!!

will add to sig in a sec
