Sorry - only just back on line. I use gram flour mixed with the Doves Farm GF flour to make a GF bread. I also use it for bhajis and pakoras - experimenting with GF baking at the moment. That's why I was so excited to find it at such a good price as the GF flour is pricy.

I made pancakes with gram flour on Shrove Tuesday - a bit heavier than normal pancakes but we used them to make savoury mince pancakes with mushroom sauce and they were lovely and filling.

Thanks for this link - GF and low dairy sums up at lot of my cooking - and the pancakes look yummy! Will be doing a lot of browsing this afternoon I think!

Luckily I'm on ML so don't go instore much unless its YS hunting, we do try to take advantage of the clothing offer though as with a 5 month old it means we can stock up on bits in advance for less :)

My OH also works for them and is a swine for "I'll just have a pound for a drink on lunch"

Ok so I went through my Asda receipt and spend there was £31.17. So total spend £65.44/£220. Need to go buy some onions to make cheesy lentil wedges but will go later on I think x

    Hello everyone

Can I join in this month please, for April I would like to put down £65 please, theres only me so it should be doable. Just been looking at some of the recipes in the first few posts, WOW theres no need to get bored food wise:)

I have enough in to last to April 1st so wont be buying anymore in before then, am working over Easter (another Sainsbobs employee) so not going out and all Easter eggs etc already bought.

Off to do an inventory from the freezer as I already have some HM meals in there and attempt to do a menu plan (never seem to stick to it for longer than a few days though) so will come back in April to update

The woman doing the demonstration had made all the butter icing. She had painted a line of food colouring down the piping bag before putting in the butter cream. She had to squeeze the bag a bit before the colour came through. Such a lovely idea.
She used Trex and marge plus icing sugar to make the butter cream.

Flo - what a lovely idea with the icing! Oh and I don't make pakoras too often as the deep frying uses too much oil - bad for health but also the purse lol. They are nice for a treat. I've seen the flour used for lots in Indian cooking.

Oh and whoever asked for the burger recipe, I'll post it later!
