I'd like to set a budget of £175 for this month please. An increase on previous months as we've been away, and are starting with less than normal. Underspent on my £10 budget in March though!!

I'm still over on the March thread until month end, but as we are away from Friday for 5 days, thought I'd pop in to say I'd like to take us down to £120 for April - that's all food, toiletries and household stuff for 2 adults (but not petfood for the dog).

That's a reduction of £30 on March (which we look like being bang on at £150 for), but we are away quite a few weekends (expensive, but out of other budgets!) and also are not hosting at all this month.

Have a lovely Easter everyone x

Hi everyone. Thanks zippychick for running the thread again.

Touch and go whether I'll hit my March target, but I'll be there or thereabouts. Something like £9 left in the budget and 4 days to go.

I'm going to stick to the same budget for April. Can you put me down for £195 please? As my challenge always runs for the calendar month, it should in theory be slightly easier to achieve in April as there is one less day to spend.

  • Just a small spend today even though my month doesn't start till tomorrow - but had to buy fresh vegetables for house rabbit.
Managed to only spend £4.21 which is good as usually a supermarket visit for one item costs about £10.00.;)

Supersavvyme have updated their vouchers, there are some for Mr S too.

If you are a member of staff then the following may be of interest:
Lenor Infusions Concentrate (21 washes) £2.25 - there is a £1 off voucher for this. Makes it 92p after staff discount and voucher.
Lenor fabric conditioner 1.4L £2 - there is £1 off coupon. so 70p after s.d and coupon.
Fairy Liquid Aloe Vera & Cucumber 433ml 2 for £2 - 50p off voucher for this. Makes it £1.20 for both so 60p each after s.d and voucher.
Pampers baby dry nappies £6.65 - £1 voucher for this so £4.65 a pack for the economy pack.

No spends today or yesterday which is a great start to April :)

Made burgers for dinner tonight - beefburger for OH and pinto bean & mushroom burger for me.

As a newbie veggie, your burger sounds delish. Can you point me to the recipe please?
