Hello everyone.
Get well soon Mrscautious.
NSD for me, hooray. Dinner was broccoli cheese (no one really likes cauliflower!) with carrots, potato and quorn fillets, yummy.0 -

I can normally just about make a £20 spend if I think long and hard about what longlife stuff (gravy granules, pickles etc) I'm going to run out of over the next couple of months, which I was trying to do in order to get the vouchers for the current collection. But £40 is a LOT of money for someone who lives alone, especially when my freezers are crammed to capacity and I buy most of my meat elsewhere.
Seemed a crime to pass up on £5 of free goodies though, so I've had 2 weeks of getting to £40 by stocking up on my longlife soya milk and dried pasta that was half price (10 bags at 50p each) plus longlife stuff for when I took my GDs away last week. The third one was easier as it was fresh foods for going away (me, OH, GD1 who's almost 10, GD2 who was 8 the day we went and GD3 who's 14 months old) plus milk to leave at home for DS, a cake to have at DDs for GD2's birthday (I'm owed the money for that) and a pack of boxers as OH couldn't find his in his case (and then found them on day 2 of the holiday).
I never even attempt the ones at Mr M (my most local supermarket) because I'd be hard pressed to spend the £30/£40 every week for so many weeks just to get a voucher off a spend of the same amount the next week on again......Cheryl0 -
Not 100% sure I agree with these things being good !!!

Yes, i see what you mean. There are only two here but the animals help (or not as the case may be). MrsCautious hope you feel better soon.
Tea tonight was Cheese, Leek & onion tart but I had a few cubes of pancetta to use up so added these as well. Will be doing this one again as it was very nice and even DH enjoyed it which I was surprised at as he likes his meals meaty. Made mum a small tart to take her tomorrow. DS moved in with his girlfriend over the weekend.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Spend of £4.68 today.
No dinner photo last night as getting ready for workmen.
No dinner photo today as exhausted after workmen all day.
Front garden looks a mess - old radiator, carpet and boiler out there waiting for the skip which arrives tomorrow. We are blessed with warmer weather - no working boiler - new one sitting in a cardboard box in my lounge.
We had roast pork, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, carrots, onion and gravy for dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
