Had a change from the meal plan tonight, had pizza and breaded chicken, reaaally couldn't be bothered due to a rubbish day at work and feeling hormonal! So we're having fajitas tomorrow and will have to think of something else for Friday night, it'll have to feel like a treat seeing as it's Friday :PSeptember Grocery Challenge £0/£2250

K9sandFelines I love mushrooms and will happily add them to most meals if we have them hanging around in the fridge. My main uses for them are Mushroom Risotto (we use the change4life recipe on meal mixer), added to mince dishes, in pies, thrown in my vegetable soup, mixed in to creamy sauces, making mushroom soup or just eaten as they are if I want a snack.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 Sep £170.48?/£150 Oct £37.21/£180 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Thanks BeckyC2be it was fab. I did a different recipe at first which i started off in the slow cooker, which was horrible; and then came to the realisation that i had just treated myself to the Taste of Asia SW book, so managed to salvage the chicken and do a new batch of sauce in next to no time.
I can pm the recipe to you if you'd like it!?GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 Sep £170.48?/£150 Oct £37.21/£180 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Oh that looks amazing! OH used to make Szechuan pork all the time when we moved in together (pork belly for him and his brother, just veg for me) because it was his favourite thing when we went to China on our first holiday - he's not made it for years! Now I eat meat I'm definitely going to get some pork and the spices so he can make it again
EDIT don't pm the recipe, post it on here so we can all use it/put it in the index lolPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Evening All
Have been to Home B*rgains to stock up on loo rolls, 2 packs of 18 rolls at £3.49 each, also a packet of 25 loaf tin cake liners 99p = £7.97. Some new rubber gloves from W*lkos, I have to have the hypoallergenic ones = £2.00. Plus small food shop at Ald*, bread, milk, ice-cream, fruit, few other bits, but Supersix leeks out of stock, darn it = £11.11 (for 11 items weirdly). DD pointed out that was average of £1.01 each, better at Maths than I am, she's only 9.
So total spend of £21.08. Will update signature.
Did dreaded school shoe check at Cl*rks today, DD's shoes still fine, she only had them Feb half-term, DS needed new, to be fair, he's had his since last August and they had taken plenty of hammer, but ones today were £45 . Good job I'm sticking to my grocery budget.
Night all x
Keep Smiling0
