I have no big shop to buy as I'm just eating from the freezer at the moment and saving as much as I can.Trying not to go back to the 'big shop' habit.I have found that a shop every 10 days or so with only essentials bought makes the money go a bit further, but then I only have myself to buy for so its not too bad My Dd has a family of 6 to feed and has to shop at least twice a week, because she is limited to space in her kitchen a 'big' shop not practical0

Just done a big shop that will hopefully see us through the month, budgeted for £200 this month. Spent £40 on meat in Asda in their 3 for £10 section, after splitting it all up into bags for each day its given us over 20 days of meat. £113 spent, so got £87 for the rest of the month for fresh veg and fruit etc through the month. Heres hoping we can stick to it, thats feeding 2 adults and 2 young kids.
Splitting the meat up into separate bags for each day seems to work well. Saved us the last few weeks.
I'd never thought of doing that! What a good idea, thanks bigmaz!0 -
hi...its snowing here again, Iwas going to go out and see what reductions were about today. However the freezer is full so seems a bit pointless but I might pop out later.
We are having a sausage sarnie for lunch then braving the snow for swimming lesson. We are having lamb for Easter lunch.
Take care tessaonwards and upwards0 -

I don't, as I have a different budget for things like that, but I know a lot of people do. Just like some people include pet food while others don't seem to.Cheryl0 -

The first weekly shop of April done and I managed to spend exactly £35 after vouchers. I was hoping for a bit less than this but saw a few things on offer that will last a week or two and some extra stuff for my mega spring clean that I'm half way through. I also bought plenty of veg to make some soups this week.
So I'm on target for the month so far with a quarter of the budget gone.0 -
Spent £12 in the butchers today and £1 in the greengrocers. May be making a quick trip to Mr M's later as well for a couple of bits we need for dinner tomorrow.
Off to update sig now...0
