And in some ways, it easier to start after most of your monthly bills have gone out. Just ask yourself, what does that money need to fund. Hope that helps!
;)
Would it make it easier if I change all my DDs/SOs to my payday and then start YNAB the day after? Or are you saying only include the money I have left after paying bills every month and input that figure into YNAB instead? I don't do Facebook so can't check there...

Thanks, DIA
I don't think that matters really, but I suppose that most of mine go out on the 1st of the month so the money left in my account was what I put into YNAB to budget with. So whatever day you pick, input all the money you have at that point into YNAB. And then think to yourself, my mortgage / council tax / whatever is paid for this month, so I don't need to allocate anything to it as I'll be paid again before that's due. Just think, what does my money need to do until I'm paid again.....remaining bills....hairdresser.......travel.......rainy day. Just allocate it until theres nowt left. But if you over spend in one category, take it from another to balance it all. Y0uTube explains all the principles I think too. Eventually, they want you to stop living pay cheque to pay cheque and get you ahead of yourself so you're living on last months money. Probably easier when we're debt free :rotfl:
Hope I haven't confused you:D

Yes good point actually. I know what I paid for various jobs as I had everything done bit by bit so that's good. Haha it would have been a crime to not buy it for sure. So chuffed with it. Still ticking along.....packing boxes.......decluttering........surveys..........waiting.........waiting for a moving date
Work continues to be utter sh*** but potentially not long left. Well at least 10 weeks until it's over but hopefully no more than 14. I need to conserve money before my salary drops from 32 to 15400 :eek: What am I doing? :rotfl: I'm excited to make these changes, to see what's coming my way and obviously the money side does worry me a bit but I feel that I've been in training for the last 2 and a bit years, doing my mse apprenticeship :rotfl: Now the time has come to put it all into practice, to live within my means, and to not get into terrible debt again :T

A steady month extra income wise, not the best but all helps. I'm only £5 away from cashing out on 0nep0ll so I should hit that by the end of August. I'm nearly a quarter of the way to my 1k CHEFS target which is great. So looking forward to booking a holiday courtesy of these survey companies:D

The cruise fund is going fantastically well. You know how much I love this concept
I am excited by your new life. Thanks for sharing your pay drop. It really helped me because I was starting to think reducing my days and taking a cut in salary was a bad idea when there is just me. Perhaps I should be maximising my income? But you are brave and inspirational and have reminded me it is all about enjoying the life you have while you can, so I will do it! Thanks for the reminder.
