Hi Ena, those are great goals!
I've always wanted a double shower too, but am too scared to ask for quotes in case it's £££££. It fills me with horror thinking of having to re-tile my bathroom etc, so I just leave it lol.
Thanks lcc
Why don't you get quotes, then at least you'll know. I might be less than you think. It might be more!

I might have just managed this week with 5 NSD's but I knew I'd run out of milk by Friday, I couldn't eek out the cat litter much longer and I have NOTHING to wear on Saturday night
I might have mentioned I've lost a lot of weight and stuff is really hanging off me. I didn't quite realise how baggy stuff was and it makes me feel bigger than I am! Plus I'm seeing some friends on Saturday that I haven't seen in months so I kinda want them to notice my weight loss........which I hope they do.......cause it's about 8 stone since March......:j:)
Today
* £46 in Asd@ on clothing. For this money (Christmas money) I got a pair of jeans, a top, a jumper, thermal leggings and a pair of hold me in pants. I'm amazed. When I was a lot bigger, I was limited to where I could shop and would buy all my clothes in Ev@ns, but blimey, it was expensive. I think most of the tops or cardigans in there were £20-£35 :eek: so I am really chuffed with my shop today. Just hope I don't develop a shopping addiction........
* £12 on books. 2 were for a present and one was for me which after saying yesterday in my goals for the year I needed to read my existing books, I'm annoyed with myself. Looks like a good book though!
* £19.55 on groceries and cat litter. I only went in for milk, cat litter and clothes at Asd@ but they didn't have my milk so I nipped to T3sco and couldn't resist some other bits and bobs.
* Listed 4 items on Gumtr33
* Filled in the online claim form for the eb@y parcel that didn't arrive
* £4.50 received from TCB and transferred to my overpayments account
* Submitted a meter reading
* VO survey
* 139SB earned
7 working days left until I have a week off :T After working so much over Christmas. I. Can't. Wait

Eight stone since March?! You are amazingly disciplined!!!! Can't get over that.
Isn't it funny how success in one area of life spills over to another. Money and weight well under control. That's just wonderful.

Ah thank you Catriona
Absolutely right, I think it's all been related. I was miserable so I ate, didn't care about debts, didn't care about myself or my home and I was stuck in a vicious circle. But I've tackled my house and the clutter and the jobs I've been ignoring , which are ongoing, I've tackled my weight, which is also ongoing and now I'm sorting out my debts, again, ongoing
I think the final piece in the jigsaw of happiness is my job. It would be nice to meet a lovely man too, but I'm happy enough as I am with sorting this lot out, although it would be a bonus

It's Friday today!! Whoop whoop!!!
Lots of NSDs, Ena. Seems like you are still focused, so success is just a matter of time!
You clearly have acted with purpose, it's so admirable. Your money mangement together with weight loss and a house repairs and a plan for a job change is quite amazing, slowly getting to where you want to be. I'm trying to lose a stone and I've not had that much success, so I can appreciate how consistently you've acted and with how much self restraint.
I think it's only a matter of time before you meet a nice man, especially if you're so purposeful about looking and if you know what you're looking for. Fingers crossed

Thanks Catriona, I'm still focused, but with the odd distraction
;) I've hung around longer this time than when I had my first LBM but I'll not be disappearing this time. Staying till the bitter end
Weight loss is hard, really hard, believe me I understand. Much like debt busting, we have to keep on trying. We'll get there, by hook or by crook.

Last week of work before a whole week off. 5 days.......let's do this!

Friday
* £33 on a few groceries and a present for my friends birthday
* PA survey
* 15SB earned
Saturday
* £20 received from a friend
* £7.50 for an item that sold via Gumtr33
* Listed another item on Gumtr33
* One of my Fr33gle items was collected
* PA survey
* 30SB earned!
* £10 on dinner for my friends birthday
Sunday
* £21.08 on groceries and drinks, but mainly household bits like loo roll and bleach
* £30 on fuel
* 32SB earned
I went out last night for my friends birthday and there were over 30 of us spread over 2 tables and each table was billed individually. I only ordered a starter, to be served as a main, which cost £4.95 and drank tap water. I'm not keen on curry anyway, plus I'm tight
Can you guess what happened? Split the bill equally someone said. Well I don't f***ing think so!! :eek: I know I'm tight but I'm on a budget, and fair's fair! There's was no way I was coughing up £20 so I did say my meal was only £4.95 and that I wasn't drinking. A couple of others supported me so they said non drinkers pay £12. Erm. My meal was £4.95 :mad: I handed over £20 and then someone said give her £12 back but I felt guilty so I just said give me a tenner back. I don't mind tipping, I really don't, but 100% tip?! I'm not too bothered about not working out to the penny, but it did annoy me that I've paid too much. Moan moan moan :rotfl:
I was originally planning to leave after the meal but I ended up going to watch a great band in the pub. When they finished I said I was going home but somehow ended up going to a club. Totally sober I might add. Another friend was driving too and we agreed we'd just stay half an hour. Still not sure what happened but I ended up staying and dancing, which I haven't done for so long, then after, we went back to a friends and I eventually rolled in at 4.30am this morning :rotfl: Talk about no control. But, I had a brilliant night which I think I really needed. I've not been that sociable in the last few years but I'm so glad I stayed out, and danced, and laughed :T Plus I didn't spend any more money after the 'curry incidient' so £10 for a great night out was actually a bargain in the end
:D
Have a good y'all

Hi Orange Ena, I've been reading your diary for ages and taking courage from it. I need to do up my house, and get rid of my debt and then next year when the house is done get a lodger. I'm a bit scared so I've finally started a diary of my own for motivation. So, thanks for sharing all your thoughts. It's really helped me.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
