    It's all flying by so fast! I'm quite tired after all the working so I've just been relaxing when I've had the chance, hence the AWOL. I had a terrible week last week in my main job. I spent most of my week in tears after being messed about, overbooked, stressed and hassled. Not really my bosses fault, it goes like that, but it was horrible. More determined than ever to get out of it. I read something on the Internet last week about depression not really being caused directly by work. It said because people need money, they stay in jobs crushing their spirits, which creates a resentment. This is the beginning of depressive symptoms that can mutate into aggressive and maladaptive behaviours which creates a cycle of someone feeling angry, resentful and trapped. Very me :eek: We gotta get out of this place, if it's the last thing we ever do.........:D

    Time for a catch up.

    Day 1 of 14 without a day off done and dusted. I will get through this one day at a time :o I worked out earlier that I've almost got enough to clear the £558 on the Nati0nwide CC that I used for the radiators, and in my back of the fag packet maths, I think I'll very nearly have enough to clear the Barcl@ycard CC too, by the end of January, thanks to job number 2. My debt then will be down to less than £4800. Sounds amazing. Not quite as amazing as £3000 debt but better than £6330 like it was in July! :D

    Today
    * £30 on fuel
    * VO survey
    * 309SB earned
    * £1.60 sweep into overpayments account which now stands at £467.37 :T
    * £2.20 sweep in FD savings account!

  • Yay that's a massive debt reduction in just 6 months!
    I would do the same job. We have a new manager and she's clearly got no time for me and it not good at what she does. She's not allowing me to work from home (despite dr's note).
    Nevermind- at least I'm in a job!

    Thanks Gonna. Although I've just updated my signature as it is right now and I've only paid off £211. I don't have to pay the Nati0nwide CC until January so I'm hanging on to the money in my overpayments account for now. Maybe I should just pay it off! By the end of January, it will look better! ;) I think I'm also forgetting that I have had my radiators, doors and shower done at a cost of £1000 so it's not too bad I guess :)

    Ah its amazing how some people get manager's jobs. Some (including me) just aren't cut out for it. Yep at least you're in a job, think of that :)

    Happy 2016 Ena!

    Amazing amount cleared last year, and even more to come. I imagine you've done amazingly well after your second job earnings. Are you staying on for January? All the best.

    Ah thanks Catriona, happy new year to you too. Hope you've had a lovely Christmas break :beer:

    Oh there's more to come for sure! The second job money has definitely helped and I've one more bumper payday to come from that on the 22nd but it's over now. Quite relieved as I am so blimming tired :D

    A hope you're doing ok, will come over to your diary and catch up in a bit x

    I'm baaaccccccckkkkkkkk...........

    And I haven't stayed away due to going completely off the rails, I've still been quite focused, but I have been working my little thermal socks off in job number 2 over Christmas. As a result, I am completely and utterly cream crackered :rotfl:

    That job has come to an end as there were no vacancies for the hours I could do. There was no way I could maintain working 7 days a week so they couldn't keep me on which took the decision out of my hands. I think if they'd had offered me slightly better hours, my head would have said yes, but my body would have said !!!!!!? :rotfl::D I still earned more than I had hoped at the beginning which will help clear my Barcl@ycard!

    I've now completely cleared my Nati0nwide CC and at the end of January, my Barcl@ycard will be paid off too :T That leaves 2 credit cards and a balance of £4605. In July my debt was £6330 and I found a notebook the other day in which I'd written down my debts as of April 2015 and back then it stood at £6895. Somehow, I've paid off, or will have paid off £2290 and had a grands worth or work done at home in only 9 months! :j I've probably worked something out wrong somewhere :p

    I'm still set on leaving my job and thinking of the future and what I need to put in place. I've got an appointment with a careers adviser soon so I'm hoping that helps me clarify things. I also need to sort a remortgage out and get a lodger so that this is the year I finally pay off my debt. I really think this is going to be the year!

    I've also decided to buy a new sofa. I know I know! But it's quite cheap, very much needed and it's on 0% interest free. I'll pay it off over 2 years so it's very reasonable but I intend to overpay if I can. If I leave my job, I doubt I'll afford a new sofa or possibly qualify for an interest free loan so it's a chance to get it now.

    My dad has also kindly given me some money. It's enough to get a few much needed jobs done around the house so that leaves me free to totally focus on debt repayments, rather than splitting my money between debts and house stuff. Feeling really good about this year :T

    Anyway, I've still kept track of my day to day spends and surveys for my own records. Here it is:

    Friday 11th December
    * £26.25 in Sainsbobs on lunch and a Christmas jumper to replace the one I'm sending back and receipt scanned on checkoutsm@rt
