  • Ena, you little stop out!!! :D

    I loved reading about your fab night out, there is nothing better to lift your mood and propel you further than some good and happy times!

    I feel your pain re your dinner bill. How annoying. I'm glad you didn't have to pay £20, you were right to say something!

    Do you now feel that you have turned your diet around? Do you feel safe with your new earring habits now? What did it take to stick to it? Questions, questions!

    Hi Orange Ena, I've been reading your diary for ages and taking courage from it. I need to do up my house, and get rid of my debt and then next year when the house is done get a lodger. I'm a bit scared so I've finally started a diary of my own for motivation. So, thanks for sharing all your thoughts. It's really helped me.

    Ah thanks doingitanyway, glad someone has found my ramblings useful! :) We're very similar with the house / debt / lodger thing then. ;) I'll pop over to your diary tomorrow when I'm not quite so tired. Thanks for dropping in :)

    Haha it was like the old days, rolling in at 5 am. One time it was 7am! Getting a bit too old for that now cause I'm still tired 4 days on :rotfl:

    Haha I'm still a bit annoyed about the meal thing but trying to let it go. Let it goooooo! :rotfl:;)

    I still have my moments with the diet but on the whole, I'm quite good. Always room for improvement though. I've lost a lot of weight before but put it all back on, plus extra but this time, I feel like I might get to some sort of goal. I'll never be skinny but that's ok. I'm eating better and generally looking after myself more, so I'm happier too. My job is a massive source of stress and I don't want that to take over and make me really unhappy so that I'm tempted to stuff my face to comfort eat. Got to stop the vicious circle! The job must go :D

    Payday soon............:D:p

    So tired, but 2 days to go before my week off. So ready for that :)

    Monday
    * £1.50 on a chippy tea as I got in too late to be bothered to cook. Erm, diet out the window then :rotfl:
    * VO survey and £31 threshold hit so £30 of Am@zon vouchers redeemed
    * 109SB earned
    * Youg0v survey......only 75pts away from half way to cashout!

    Tuesday
    * £18.41 on groceries and drinks
    * VO survey
    * 44SB earned

    Today
    * £29.73 on cat food. I need to get my cat off the vets recommended food as it's so pricey. I do love my cat and while I've never given him cheap carp, I need to get something in between so I've ordered a few different flavours of 2 slightly better brands for him to try. Purchased via TCB which has tracked already :T
    * Lodged a missing cashback claim for the National Lottery which I signed up for nearly 2 weeks ago. Seeing as I'm not sitting on a 33 million pound win, I want my tenner! :rotfl:
    * 34SB earned

    I've been invited to my friends hen do and wedding which is lovely :) They're having a night away at a hotel and spa, with dinner at the hotel and then drinks in the local town. It would be about £130 for the hotel, dinner, minibus plus drinks which I just can't afford. Luckily they're not going too far from home so me and another friend will just drive and have the meal then go home. The bride hasn't a clue what's planned so we've said we'll be there for some of it, without giving too much away, and she knows we're both a bit skint so she's cool with that. Me and my friend have already sorted out the card and a gift of money (how organised are we?) which I'm keeping safe, so come payday next week we can put money aside for the hen do meal, which hopefully won't be too much. I'll drive to the wedding so there won't be too much to spend then but I might need to get something to wear. I've got one nice dress which I may just wear but I'll shop around and see if there's anything else. I've got a D3benhams voucher so I'll have a scout around there on Saturday.

    I'll catch up with a few diaries tomorrow. Need my zzzzzzzzz :D

    One day left.........I'll make it! :)

    Today
    * £20 on fuel
    * PA survey
    * 180SB earned

    I've checked my FD account and the final wages from my second job go in tomorrow and it's about £50 more than I thought :T I was being a bit conservative in my estimate and I'd forgotten about extra pay for the bank holidays so I'm chuffed. My outstanding amount for Barcl@ycard is £619.59 so I shall pay £484.59 and leave my normal payment of £135 to go out on the 1st Feb :D Boom! Kapow! Zap! Take that Barcl@ycard :rotfl::p This leaves about £27 leftover from these wages which will pay for a takeaway for me, my brother and my sister in law this weekend. I'll then set up the extra £135 snowball to pay down H@lifax CC, before that money gets spent. I love it when a plan comes together!

    So good news, I've earned £950 from my temporary second job which makes the tiredness so worthwhile, and I'll be down to 2 CC's :j:T:j:T:j:T:beer:

    Happy happy happy :D

    Woohooooooo!!! Great stuff Ena.

    Down to two cards! Isn't that an amazing feeling? No shuffling, just paying them down and off!!
    £950 is a good amount and am sure the feeling is great, the achievement of getting to your set goal. :T:T:beer:

    And, even better, paying the Bcard off means that you can now pay more towards your other cards, and pay them off quicker.

    I've had a lovely weekend away and now I've got a week off, and tomorrow is payday! Marvellous :T:j:)

    Friday
    * £1.58 on lunch
    * £484.59 paid to Barclayc@rd leaving a balance of £135 :T
    * Youg0v survey
    * £3.95 in the chemist
    * £25.38 on a few more groceries but mainly drinks to take to my brothers for the weekend
    * £20 cash on a Chinese takeaway

    Saturday
    * £9.00 for lunch and drinks with friends
    * Small latte in C0sta but used my points :)
    * £9.85 in Asd@ on socks, shampoo and coffee

    Sunday
    * £23.99 on household bits, needed washing powder, and loo rolls and a few other bits
    * 90SB earned
    * 2 PA surveys

    Today
    * NSD
    * 100SB earned and a £10 P@ypal payout requested. I'd normally get an Am@zon voucher but there's a SB sale on and I already have £140 in my Am@zon account :T

    I saw the careers adviser today and he's given me some useful information. I was kind of hoping he'd say, why don't you train to be a florist / bus driver / chef but it wasn't quite that specific!! Lots more work to do on this methinks. :)

    Hi Orange Ena

    You are doing brilliantly well.

    I like the way you log your daily spends

    I'm also thinking about what I want to do (in the next five years,) wondering if I want to retrain. I think I want an income, but not sure I want an actual 'job' if that makes sense...I guess I want to make an income from a passion, but then I guess everyone else wants that too ;)

    Keep on keeping on :)

    Hi DIA. Thanks for dropping by. Haha I feel if I confess on here to spends, it'll stop me being too frivolous cause I won't want to admit it :rotfl:

    I love that :) I want an income too, but to not to work for it. I think what we need is a sugar daddy ;) Although I guess they do have to work for it :D:p;)

    Do you have any idea what you want to do? I think I'm at a point where I just want a job that pays enough to cover my outgoings, rather than a career or extensive training and more stress.

    Yep, we'll keep on. X
