The people on the street do not understand fiat but we all use it everyday.
I am buying bitcoin and other better competing currencies like Quark if its a big dip this time. Not because I believe in it, but just because Im greedy and purely speculate for a profit. At least Im honest.
the people on the street have lots of misguided faith in fiat. most still think it relates to gold.
what price of btc do you define as a major dip?0 -

Faith, however misguided, is stability.0 -

I never had faith in fiat or crypto, I think both will have the supplies expanded exponentially and therefore devalued. There is no limit to how many competing crypto currencies will be added to the supply. The newer ones will be better than the last one, bitcoin is looking old now.
I will not buy bitcoin even if it goes very low, but I like the look of some of the newer crypto coins coming out soon. It takes about 3 days to design a crypto coin and release it into the supply, and the newer ones are better than Bitcoin, the transaction times are faster and they have ironed out many of the problems.
Quark is far better than bitcoin and more importantly its still cheap it hasnt gone up yet.0 -

I agree there is no end to the amount of coins that can be released. But peoples faith in them gives them value. The idea of bitcoin sounds good to me, sure newer coins process faster and can be less resource intensive but will people buy into them?
I've mined 1000 of the newish zeta coins just using my usb ascis, and they have gone up in value over 1000% in a few days. Its all very interesting.0 -
In the great depression Bill still says there were also lots (over 3000) of competing currencies sprang up and that's exactly whats happening today.

He says even if they shut down the internet to kill crypto we could launch our own satellites. Yeah right.
He says it doesnt matter which crypto to buy just get in. Does he not know any teenager with a PC can make a bitcoin competitor in 3 days? Sounds like he is desperately pumping this thing.0 -

So many things depend on the internet that if it went down long term not sure currency would be at the top of my list, i mean it still exists without the internet.0 -

Chna are turning their back on fiat that is true, but not going all in on crypto, but they are going all in on gold.0 -

Anyway, just to give you guys a heads up - all cryptocurrencies are hot at the moment but THE one everyone is talking about is worldcoin.
