Interesting...and something different to the current Bitcoin alternatives.
Although we still end up with huge vaults of useful materials, unused.. which seems a bit of a waste.

'So where is the best place to buy some of these in the UK? Looks awfully difficult to buy some of them.'

First thing you need to do is buy part of a bitcoin - you can buy as much or as little as you wish - there are several websites in the UK that you can use to trade cash for bitcoin.

Once you have done that, transfer some bitcoin into an exchange such as https://www.cryptsy.com and you can then start trading bitcoin for alternative currencies if you wish.

You will need a wallet to store your bitcoin and then another wallet that can accept alt-currencies (such as https://www.coinwallet.co).

Follow https://www.coinmarketcap.com closely and good luck!

Do NOT invest more than you are willing to lose, the market is still very volatile.

By the way, if anybody does choose to trade on https://www.cryptsy.com - I would be very grateful if you could add me as a referrer using the code: ab47cd99c661aefa4d9e8c66f65d4bb9e1cd5171

  • is it worth buy bit coin?? I have heard about bit coins recently and i wanted to know is it worth buying bit coins if so where can i buy bit coins in the uk?

At the moment I would say yes it is worth buying because all the signs are that it will continue to grow in value over the coming years as more and more people start to use it.

There is a massive BUT here of course, BUT be prepared to suffer losses, perhaps big losses. None of us can predict the future but right now bitcoin is looking like a winner and worth investing in.

There are various websites to buy bitcoin from - just google 'buy bitcoin uk' and several should come up.

But you have to have this for what you are using as a means of exchange to have integral value in and of itself.

But I long for an e-gold system that has very low storage and commision (transaction) fee's like Billionvault but unlike bullionvault it would be possible to pay for things around the world like bitcoin.

I don't buy that argument, the exchange of goods for money only requires whatever it is to be a universally trusted, incorruptible and fungible means of exchange. Those are it's integral values, not whether it is shiny or heavy.
