    Shouldn't this thread be in the gambling addicts section of the forum.
    Well you are the one posting on a thread that you can see ran for 170 pages between 2011 and 2018 and had largely died out. If you don't bump it to the front page with your comments it will fall away and you won't have to look at it.   

    FWIW the original poster was commenting (in a year that the price moved between $1 and $30 a coin and back again) that he was considering buying 500-1000 coins 'mostly for excitement'.  He was not really focused on getting on board with a potential bubble, but whether it had much of a "future as intended, taking into account anonymity, total/trading volumes, current holdings, criminal use, etc".

    Over the following 9 years the price went up from the $1-$10 range to the $5000 to $20000 range. It is certainly better for ones ego to characterise it as 'gambling' - then you won't need to cry too much that you didn't spend some of your pocket money on buying a few coins back when you were a teenager and this thread was starting.
