How much time do you spend alone?

Lots.. My hubby works away a lot, and we have one teenage daughter with a better social life than we have!
When hubby is home he works a lot of nights so I spend lots of time alone, or just me and dd. We have just got used to it,... Must do is a great master.0 -
Aside from Christmas/New Years, one quick holiday, some time in the office and a few nights every month, I've spent most of the past year alone.0

Glad to see im not the only one who spends a lot of time alone. Almost starting to think im going to become a proper loner!!
Ive never had a GF and whilst I do still live at home, spend most of my time in my room. I work permanent nightshifts (on my own also), and have very few good friends. Even when I get days free, finding the motivation to even nip round peoples houses for a cuppa is hard.
It does get lonely sometimes, but the less people I see, the less people can hack me off, and vice versa

Never at the moment I guess. Even if LO is down for a nap then I'm still on 'guard' waiting for him to wake (as he always will as I start something, lol).
I do sometimes (the odd Thursday) leave LO napping at my mums and nip home to put the shopping away (we do Mr T every Thursday together). But the house feels weird with just me!!0 -
I live alone and work from home, so I spend 95% of my time alone. I meet up with people perhaps 2-3 times a week, often for dinner, and the rest of the time it's peace and quiet. I love it.0

I go to the hospital every other day for my treatment, but other than that i dont see a soul. I cant even chat to fellow patients at the hospital and the nurses dont have time. Ive been doing it for so long i guess im used to it. My 2 dogs are my sanity but even they are old now.0

Half an hour each week to have a music lesson, three hours a fortnight for a jam.
So my baseline for human contact is about 30 mins a week. Anything else is hard work to manage.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

It seems people broadly fall into 2 camps, those who get very little time alone and enjoy it when they do and those that spend a lot of time alone and have accepted/embraced it as a way of life. And I'm somewhere in the middle
I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be0 -
I haven't worked for almost a year and OH works so I am on my own from about 8am until he gets home, which can be anything from about 4pm to 8pm. Most weekends we spend together although he does sometimes work.
I like my own company so it doesn't bother me. I cook, read, do housework, use the internet (far too much!), watch tv, do crosswords and suduko. If OH has an unexpected day off and we stay in I sometimes find myself getting slightly annoyed that he is there. I think that is only because I am used to having the house to myself as I do like his company!
I do have a dog and find myself talking to him quite a bit! When I walk him I nearly always end up talking to someone - either people I know or strangers commenting on my dog. Once a week at least I meet up with a friend and we walk our dogs together.
I sometimes feel I should get out more in the week but if I am happy does it matter? I did start working in a charity shop a couple of days a week and although I stopped because of health problems and I did enjoy it there I did find on the days I worked there I would be wishing I could stay at home and carry on with whatever I wanted to doThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
I spend quite a bit of time alone, I quite like it! There is a fine line between happy and lonely however. I work long hours at work so weekends are often just for me to recharge. I usually go for a really quite one and then a really busy one full of visits. This weekend is a quiet one, I've ventured out to do the weekly shop but thats about it. I get my house work done, I typically watch a few movies, bit of cooking/baking, gardening, reading, maybe a little bit of work if I have to. I then feel ready to face the week ahead!0
