Just deduct money for your internet bill phil and you'll be fine as thats the only thing in your life so you may of give the rest of the money away to your parents0 -
You teach them how to use your computer to join Freecycle. There they will be able to find a perfectly useable sofa to see them through the last few years of their lives.
You roll your sleeves up and start to sand the floorboards and spend a few quid out of your own money to buy filler to block the gaps.
You spend £1.99 on a bunch of flowers from the garage and give them to your mum, tell her you love her and then LEAVE!
Meanwhile, you'll have applied for every other job in the local evening paper so you can get some work NOW!
You go back a week later and tell your parents how lucky you are and how happy you are to be independent.
They will be blissfully happy.
You DO NOT NEED central heating! I don't have it and have survived the last 10 years in this house without it. I don't have a huge income, I support three children one of whom is about to start a doctorate as she's worked hard through uni to get this far (and worked too), I pay for my own study via the OU.
You are giving your parents nothing but worry.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -

Life is about choices.
Do you choose to let them support you to do your degree?
Do you choose to stay at home and not have a life?
Do you choose to give them your savings so they can, in your words, have a decent old age?
Do you choose to give them money from your wages every month if and when you ever find anyone to employ you?
Do you choose to keep your 'savings' for your own 'rainy day' and conveniently ignore the fact that your parents could use the money?
Your choice, Phil. Make it on your own and don't post about it here.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

Perhaps if the situation is so dire perhaps you should direct them over to the pensions forum on here, equity release may be the only route for them.......... but i dont even know why i'm suggesting anything as this is TWADDLE0 -
