Hi All, I'm a bit new to this type of thread but I'm quite proud of my OS day :j
Was off work and OH was on a half day (works from home) so had a hearty breakfast: morning rolls with Lorne and tattie scones (all YS) and egg from Mum's hens then cleaned, hoovered and tidied the house, got all the laundry done and organised my art desk in the office. AND managed to tackle the mending pile *smug* Wind is now at a force 10 and Cal Mac are cancelling all boats here.
Off for a bubble bath and then time to curl up with the new Jack Reacher HB (50p) until OH comes home from extreme metal detecting and makes dinner. Risotto (from cupboard) followed by cake (YS) and custard 7p :rotfl:

DH and I are determined to spend the evening celebrating his happy life, rather than mourning him. The other two naughty little pets will be getting lots of fuss and love and cuddles tonight, to make up for the loss of their friend.

TTFM - So sorry, just remember you have your little friend the best life.
Evening All
Sooo cold here but the snow from this morning seems to have disappeared, despite it trying all day. The wind is pretty fierce too but not as bad as some of you. Hope you all stay safe and warm. Going to cosy up tonight in front of the fire and finish a book - off to the library tomorrow to get some more. They have some 'quick reads' that are really good.
DD and I had lo chilli for lunch so will just have a sandwich for tea so nice and simple. Stripped my bed this morning so that's on the airers.
Hope you all have a good weekend. Take care. XX0 -

The 3 naughty little pets are, rather were, I keep forgetting there are only 2 now, rescue ferrets. We fell in love with ferrets when our friends brought two home from holiday in Devon and eventually ended up with another half dozen collected on their travels. Though I had always loved them since I was a child and my mum's friend's sons used to keep a collection of ferrets and polecats in their converted coal house!
I know some people don't like ferrets. People think they smell and they are vicious but they get a bad press, they really are funny, loving, affectionate and intelligent ... and very, very naughty!
We have had many pets, when I was a child, my grandparents had a shire horse, an old English sheepdog and a goose. We had lots of dogs and cats and fish and hamsters and gerbils and rabbits.

Lovely pic TTFTM, my neighbour kept ferrets for hunting, I used to care for them when he went into hospital as his wife was afraid of them.
At different times I have had dogs, cats, rats, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, stick insects & we now have tropical fish.
