People with 3 young kids - What car do you have???
Comments

My sister has 3 under 3 and has a Volvo s70(?) estate thingy. It's an older model but the back seat is flat all the way along so can take 3 car seats easily and she fits a triple buggy in the boot.0

I had a Picasso and the children fitted in no problems.
Now my eldest is 12 he sits in the front so I downgraded, but I do miss that huge boot.SPC #1813

we are on our 2nd alhambra - unbeatable if your kids have friend too
or granny wants to come along or you're going driving abroad.. or need a small van..which it is with the seats out .etc...
now the kids are older we also have bought a Hyundai Tucson which has more knobs and whistles but wouldnt be an "instead" of a people carrier..but an "as well"
we have tried a lot of cars as our jobs mean we end up driving hire cars regularly and many of the "family" cars have been...interesting...so ours was a very informed choice
depends on your lifestyle though..- wera a - yeah come on ,...everybody , and your dog , kind of family..if your ..eh hem...more restrained or refined perhaps not these choices..Fight Back - Be Happy0 -
We have a 7 seat zafira for our 4, 2 year old and newborn.
Would have loved something big like alhambra but our budget wouldnt stretch. We got a 1 year old zafira relatively cheap compared to other mpv's and is economical on fuel.0 -
TBH if you want 3 seats that you can get car seats in and still need a decent sized boot then you really are in MPV territory, and I would suggest you look at 7 seat options as you can fold the extra seats down to give a decent boot, plus the extra seats are there for taking friends out etc.
The extra seats can also be useful when they get older so they can sit 2 in middle and 1 in bacl etc to give a bit more space between them.
You mentioned sliding doors - thats a very limited choice. VW Sharan, Seat Alhambra Mazda 50 -
We have a Hyundai Trajet - 7 seater (2 at the back fold down) but we do take Nanna everywhere with us, so the seats are always used. Currently got a 3, 4 and 14 year old with number 4 due in the next couple of weeks. It is a big car and likes the petrol, but is sturdy and flys through the MOT everytime and have had to do very little to it in the 4 years we have had it.
Also have a Clio, which was my work car and couldn't even get all 3 kids in the back, let alone 3 car seats lol. So DH just uses that for work.0 -
The Peugeot 5008 is brilliant. Either 5 or 7 seats and the middle row has 3 full-width seats. And it also does 50 mpg which is pretty good for such a big car.0

The reason I like the Land Cruiser is youalsways know your going to "get there" without breaking down.
It's safe, generally if other normal cars run into you, there not going to hurt you.
It's an 8 seater.
2 people in the front
3 people in the middle row, full size adults (3 isofix for baby seats)
3 people in the 3rd row, (full three poing shoulder restraint seat beltes, for up to say 13 years old.
And a boot for the shopping and buggy etc.
When the weather turns foul, and the wind, rain and the snow is lashing down, you will be glad you picked such a sturdy, surefooted vehicle to get you and the treasured ones to your destination.
