We have the Grand Scenic to. Three seperate seats that you can move back and forth individually in the back and good boot space. Then the extra two seats in the boot if needed.
The boot is tiny when using all 7 seats though so we use a roof box then.

We had a Ford S-Max for 6 or 7 years and it was a godsend. Massive boot, acres of room for people to get in and it was nice and comfy. As the kids are now getting a bit older we've switched to a Focus estate but I miss the S-Max sometimes (although it was my wife that drive it 90% of the time).

Both my sisters have three children. Both had Ford Galaxies but now one has a Volvo XC90 and the other a Land Rover Discovery.

All have plenty of room for five.

We drive a Seat Alhambra, it ended up being about the only suitable car given we wanted isofix on all three seats.

Two of my BIL's friends have three children and have an Audi A6 as that was the only estate they could find that fits three across.

We almost bought a Hyundai Santa Fe - it fits all three seats across if they are belted but we decided we didn't like the way it drove.

We have a grande scenic and it's boot is huge. We managed to pack it with four large suitcases, a pushchair, five sets of hand luggage, as well as all of the usual things that live in a boot. I would be shocked if you could not fit a twin pram in one as our Uppababy which is unusually large fits in with loads of room to spare.

Same here. Huge boot but the middle back seat won't take a decent childs seat unfortunately.

We are in the same boat as you. I have a 7 and 4 year old and a baby on the way. We have only had a Renault Clio for the past 8 years and absolutely love it but obviously with three kids it is just not big enough anymore.

Was a bit wary about jumping up in size from a Clio to a Picasso or similar as I have only ever driven small cars. However we found a Chevrolet Tacuma up for sale and have bought that. It isn't a car I knew anything about but it is plenty big enough for the 5 of us but not as big as a Picasso. The boot is a great size, there are lots of little "extras" in the car and the kids have loads of room at the back.

They aren't particularly good at keeping their value so you are much better off buying second hand. Mine is on an 07 plate and had 45,000 miles on the clock and cost 1,200. Only drawback I have come across is the road tax is soooooo much higher than I am used to paying.

    Toyota for the reliability
Land Cruiser 120 series for the space and all the isofix points.
Land Cruiser for safety of all on-board.

We had....a Sierra and a Passat and fitted 2 proper car seats and one booster seat across the back (with the Sierra it was a tiny baby, a one year old and a 4 year old, the Passat, a 3 year old, a 4 year old and a seven year old)

Ok, it was a bit of a squeeze especially for eldest son stuck in the middle but we had no other choice as choice of cars and finances were rather restricted. He was also very slight and at first I was a bit eek about him being in a booster seat rather than a proper child seat but he was so wedged in, I doubt he would have gone anywhere anyway!

Mind you, I think the child seats were a bit smaller in width back then, the one my sister in law has for my young niece is massive although I still managed to fit a 19 year old and a 14 year old in the back seat with it a week or so back in a quite narrow Astra estate (old style, the old girl is 19 years old)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
