  • The thing is, do you think you've paid what you should have? Kids aren't cheap, so don't try and get out of it. Pay for what you've produced.

Yes i think i have. If she accepts the 5k we are straight. Never seen him go without, i wont fund her drink and cocaine binges. Shes blown all shes ever had on that stuff and i aint paying for it. When i left she had everything, house, car the lot. Now shes blown it all.

For the dates you can PROVE issues with the post office then yes... So any court appearances etc as you MUST be notified and if the post was sent at this time then you wouldn't of received it, so would have grounds for appeal with the court out of time... As it would be some time before you understood and could do anything about it.

So the only way to find out what they sent is to ask them, and hope they resend everything, or apply for your data to prove what they sent and what you didn't receive...

It won't help with it all, but it will help with some, and while you may think it is all very boring and blah blah blah when it comes to the data, it is your own fault you are in this mess, and only you can sort it out.

So while it may be very dull and boring to do, being anal and thorough is what will get you out of the mess as well... Be it by paying the correct amount or finding there mistakes...

And do remember that regardless of how much you think the ex is a !!!!! or is horrible or a psycho or anything else for that matter, just think about this...

SHE CAN'T BE THAT BAD, OR YOU WOULD OF FOUGHT HARD FOR CUSTODY AND DONE SOMETHING ABOUT IT...!

How do you know i have not fought hard for custody?

How do you know i have not spent sleepless nights wondering whether to inform social services about her antics?

This is the problem i have, people look at the arrears and automatically judge me.......

I have fought and i have struggled for my son...... be in no doubt....

I'm not saying you haven't, but if she is as bad as you say she is, then you would have custody i'm sure...

And just so you know, i am not judging you, it just came across about how bad she was how horrible she was, and how much money it cost you and how hard it was making your life...

The whole story is not always clear in forums like this, but there are men in here that fought and won custody, and it just came across that was not so important by the posts you made...

DLS- No I haven't. What's the problem with them?
  • Responding to your PM.
Not much I can add though. Legally you are about a decade out of time to appeal the £79 calculation. You already have your data file, which you say shows you didn't contact them about changes in your circumstances til 2009, although you did call them in 2003. What happened after that call in 2003? Did they ask you to send them some more details or documents to review the calculation? Did you send anything to them?

You had post problems, but this wasn't until 2 years after the court hearings? Did you attend the hearings?

The only possibility I can think of is if there was any period of time you were claiming JSA/ESA or income support, as there are different rules about taking that into account. If so, try asking if it was considered at the time and if not, if they will take account of it now.

Aside from that, I don't have any suggestions that haven't already been mentioned.
I often use a tablet to post, so sometimes my posts will have random letters inserted, or entirely the wrong word if autocorrect is trying to wind me up. Hopefully you'll still know what I mean.

You are joking????? You have admitted that all you've paid in 12 years is a total of £3000, that's £20 a month.... do you really think that she funded her alcohol addiction with that??? Now you are saying that she should accept a total payment over 12 years of £8000, that is £55 a month....

Well good luck, I know if I was the pwc, I would tell you to get lost. You chose to bury your head all this time, you are now left with a huge charge on your house. That doesn't mean that she should accept an insulting amount equivalent maintenance for all those years because of your errors.

Its not as simple as that, child maintenance never is, its based on my earnings and my ability to pay, which is why the inital calculation of £79.11 has never been correct.
The nett amount of my earnings in total, over 12years, that are applicable for maint calcs after allowable deductions, comes to 28K.
In your defence i would say that you do not know the whole story........

CSA has never been about ability to pay! They couldn't care less if you were on the street, as we nearly were several years ago, so long as they get their money!!

By your own admittance you buried your head in the sand!! They can only work with the correct information if it is provided to them, our MP was of no use to be honest.
We have always dealt with them by phone, as I am the kind of person who likes answers etc., 'now' plus a name to refer back to!!

I would pick up the phone and deal with it, we also got immense support from
