I am looking at where to advertise my daughter's B&B so need some advice.
Where do YOU look when you plan a short break/holiday with your dog?
I have found those:
http://www.dogfriendlyuk.co.uk/
http://www.dogpeople.co.uk/
http://www.dogfriendlybritain.co.uk/ (very expensive to advertise
)
What websites do you use to look?
Thanks a lot.

Really appreciate help here.
I can google the names of website but this is not the point.

I just tend to do a Google search for dog friendly accommodation in.....
I also the use Google maps "search nearby" option and have found some real gems this way.
One site I have used a few times is http://www.cottages4you.co.uk/?gclid=CNvMnbS6jrYCFW_KtAod7lwAcA&clickcd=21200 as it allows you to select pet friendliness as a search option.
Other than that, it's personal recommendation via the Rescue forums.

We usually google the area for accommodation, for example 'lake district cottages', then I look for websites that use 'dog friendly' as a search variable.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0

I used holidaylettings to book a dog friendly holiday cottage in North Wales. I don't know how good it is yet as we don't go until April but the website was easy to use and the property owner has responded quickly whenever I've asked a question.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Thanks a lot everyone, really appreciated.
Not sure how to position the website to come up on google searches as "dog friendly" so looking into advertising where people look0 -
You could also set up a Facebook page and share with everyone you know, ask them to share, like and share other business pages in the hope they share...you get the idea

My cousin sells handmade jewellery and has expanded her customer base this way.
I also know of a few folk who publicise their properties via the various rescue forums and in return offer a donation of something like 10% of the booking price to the rescue for each booking made that mentions the rescue name.

Yes, we post of FB pages but only dog related as this is the main prospective customer base.... No point "spamming" people who are not interested or perhaps have allergies so only advertising with "dog people".
One room is completely dog free and kept this way but 2 are primarly for people with a dog (yup, one pr room only) so this is who we are aiming...
Thanks a lot....
Any more ideas? Links to websites you check out?0 -
