Not being funny but if you aren't with someone that your sister and family have met, why would they include a plus 1 on your invitation? Weddings can be very expensive and each meal can cost upwards of £40 per head. I for one certainly wouldn't have invited a random person I didn't know to our wedding - maybe your sister won't either. Problem solved0

Go on your own!
I went to a friend's wedding alone - I knew no one, I can be pretty shy until you know me but I survived. Being family, I think it would be easier to go single then go with a random girl/pretend girlfriend and get loads of questions fired at you.
I do sympathise though - the last Ball I went to, I would have done anything to hire a hot guy for the night. It felt a bit odd to be dressing up like a princess and then spending the evening dateless. Also I'm sick of being the single friend when everyone else is coupled up and events like that draw attention to your single status. I still had fun regardless of the fact I didn't have a man.
The wedding could be a chance to meet someone, if that is something you want!
Failing that...I've just turned 29. And I'm a legendary kisser (but you aren"t getting any sex)!0 -
Weren't you the guy who was worrying about getting his gf pregnant the other day - with way tmi information on the process :rotfl:Where did that thread go?0

Wow what a jammy geezer stamina. getting all these offers and attention for nothing. I mean it's such a trivial thing going to a do on your own. Why is it so important to have someone on your arm? It is family, unless there is an alterior motive, old girlfriend gonna be there perhaps??? or just seeking a bit of attention and sympathy from the girls.0
