Great optimism but, i like to prepare.
Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
I can just see me going alone to this wedding, meeting nobody and feeling incredibly lonely and sad.
I dont want that, and i dont want other people seeing me alone.0 -
With a name like stamina, Im surprised you don't have the girls forming an orderly queue

my brother got married 3 years ago and my invite was a plus 1 and I took my best friend, you dont need to take someone of oppersite sex, take your best mate, who knows there may be 2 single bridesmaids for you

Why is it such a big deal to attend a family wedding by yourself? You might meet someone at the wedding, friend of a friend etc. How many guests are there going to be?
If you really want to go through with this then you could contact a professional escort agency.
Probably 50-100 guests (knowing my sister and her husband to be).
And most of them will probably be with someone.0 -
How old are you and where abouts is the wedding? I'll do it just for the sheer hell of it. But I think I might be too old. I get on with everyone and will talk to anyone. I've gatecrashed weddings before where I didn't know ANYONE and no-one sussed. I'm in the same situation as you, but my family have given up any idea of me ever turning up with a bloke. I don't even get a plus one these days! I feel your pain! I'll consider helping you out. How old are you? (and no sex either!)0

Yeah, that would be fine, no problem.0 -

Go alone??
Yes. That's what single people do and it's OK to be single!! If you get the inevitable "are you seeing anyone?" just a smile and a "there's no-one special at the moment" is quite sufficient.0 -
Get out there and date then Stamina. You have six months till the wedding. With a name like yours surely you can meet and keep someone till then :cool:The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0
