And the other one...?
The other one is a bit on the small side but looks ok, I don't think it's really what we want and is perhaps the sort of place that we might consider after we've been looking for a while and not found a better place so I doubt we'll be rushing to put an offer in but at least we have started looking.0 -
It looks like hemmorage is caused by cirrhosis of the liver. The liver scars so badly that the blood can no longer flow into it and eventually internal bleeding results, usually into the stomach.
He told me he was an alcoholic 15 years ago. I'm quite a drinker too. Perhaps I should stop for a while.
Gen I am sorry for the loss of your friend.
When my friend died in March although the primary was breast there were secondaries mainly in the liver.
The last time I saw her she was hemorrhaging. I won't go into details but to say she was smiling, had good pain control and able to say a few words. She died peacefully the next day.
Life is precious, 40 is young, and maybe your way of acknowledging his passing is to give yourself a few days alcohol free every week.0 -
Don't be put off by the size of the place. First house we bought looked so small I didn't even want to get out of the car. Once inside it was like a TARDIS, it won us over in minutes. We managed to change the layout and we put it on the market while we went on a week's holiday. We had a buyer by the time we came home.chewmylegoff wrote: »Ok have managed to make some progress on the house front and actually arranged some viewings (what I mean is OH did it all and I did nothing). If it only had more rooms but for a first home it was ace. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

...OH has never chosen any of our houses (all 3 of them) ..but he helped make the final decision.
Its good research to at the 'No Goods' as they help to affirm the The One.
RM links could e fun (:))
eh? you saying I am A Lush?;)It's probably good to limit alcohol to say 3 days a week and to avoid getting blotto.
Mind you, FC and that red wine ...
Sorry, no such thing...you wear what you feel to wear as it's 'part' of your soul, who you are.lostinrates wrote: »Oh dear, oh dear. Silver car were about she'd remind me things come in threes.

What was inappropriate?
Confess, I have only gone back 2 pages as we had A Crisis this week with DD. Bless her, she is heartbroken, teen love and it's all so odd too. Will update later as it has all been so upsetting.0 -

Fc, I'd normally go as me, but the chaos this is descending into I'd rather go with a bag over my head. The shoes are my gingham and bling 'em trailer trash heels. Perfect for summer. Instead I'm going to wear some others(pic below) ....nothing special, dune.

Hope the broken heart mends.
. Poor thing. 0 -

It's not just the money, or perceived injustice.... it's the "money tied up". e.g. using some rubbish figures .... what if he was sitting on, say, £200-300k .... and after his income you just needed to dip into that for £5-10k/year. It can be annoying that he'll never get to spend it all, and nobody else can benefit from it. And if you could just shift all but, say, £50k out now ..... it'd be OK ... and if he needed top ups in 10 years' time you'd move it back as and when required. So more a case of "being able to more usefully spend the money", rather than "robbing him". IYSWIM.I know. Thank you for caring enough to warn me. But I also know him. He's ... err... an unusual person, and even if not entirely compos mentis would still, I think, be the sort of person whose quality of life would be very very different in one kind of home than in another kind of home that wasn't such a good match to who he is. I don't mind it going on fees if the fees enable him to have the right care for him.
I am not hypocritical enough to pretend, though, that that attitude would be so easy for me to take if I were struggling financially myself.0
