The people we bought our house from in the early 90's - the wife had imported a lesbian lover into the marital bedroom and exported the husband into a room down the corridor. Then she changed her mind, threw the lover out, and reimported the husband into the marital bedroom. Meanwhile, they took the kid to see a urinary tract specialist because she was wetting her bed....

    Poor kid. :(
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Watched lightening last night, but no rain.

Forecast shows some showers over here, but not the decent down fall that well relieve the weather a little.

What the HELL am I going to do Friday night now??????

You lot are always my Friday night date!!

I'm out on Friday night for once, ( not sure what I will wear yet...need to think about that)

But that means I'll ache on Saturday and have my feet up recovering:D

It's absolutely wellying it down in town - still very hot, though. Thunder rumbling, too.

Ditto here in Salford - beautiful lightening heading into work, but so dark, everyone had headlights on.

    Still ridiculously hot.

Still feel like I ought to have been studded with cloves of garlic and basted every thirty minutes here in the North West. Too hot to sleep.

I feel bad for saying this, but I actually think a bit of rain might be rather refreshing.

Finally - someone else up this neck of the woods. Still hot, ins't it?

What are you doing? Will it involve copious amounts of food and dancing?

    Congratulations on the house Nikkster.

No food, but possibly dancing, depending on how I feel and what I wear. I have some shoes that are begging me for an outing if I can bear them but they do pretty much preclude dancing unless I kick them off. So wearing them is a complicated position of ok enough to wear them but not ok enough to dance...probably.

Ok enough just to get out is happy enough for me :). To get out be popped in corner somewhere and able to see life....its all so exhausting once you are not used to it:o

I have a committee meeting tonight too.

Kiwi is off his food. Too hot, too frustrated and missing his girls I think. He is even refusing a sardine this morning.

Excitement/ panic + heat + the loudest thunder I think I've ever heard = not much sleep.

I hope I can string a sentence together when I fingers crossed get to speak to the mortgage person later!
