Well, tried to teach him to want to.....he's actually amazing, super fast. But first time in, superfast straight out, up the track, over the gate and straight back to the house, lol. :rotfl:

If its stilL hot on Sunday we'll go down with all the dogs and leave them watching while we swim and chuck a ball about. And he might feel tempted to join us.

    Ah! Sorry.

The most my parents say in that regard is if one of us says something half-witted, and my Dad says, "I see we didn't waste all that money on your expensive education....."

When we chose to send DS2 to a private secondary school, he told us that we were never to use that against him. It was our chose to send him there, he would have preferred (at the time) to go to a state school with his primary school friends.

I haven't really been watching this year's Apprentice... but its the 'interview' round tonight, which usually makes for entertaining viewing :)

My Dad only ever says it about things that don't matter, not things that do. He'd never dream of saying anything like that if one of us had failed an exam, for example. But when my Bruv was going through his wearing-a-baseball-cap-on-backwards, or reading a trashy magazine, that's the sort of thing.

the a/c for one of our labs is broken. it has the most expensive piece of equipment that refused to work today because it was too hot :rotfl:

I have some sympathy for said piece of machinery!

I was fine today, enjoying the heat in casual clothes.

I'll enjoy it a bit less tomorrow, all done up like a dog's dinner in black wool blend suit.

I don't watch it unless I stumble across it. Didn't even know there was an interview round.

The apprentices are so far removed from any type of people I've ever met/known it might as well be completely made up.... and most of them are just thick, but full of their own misguided importance. Certainly a strange breed.....

The interview round is usually the semi-final. The remaining candidates get grilled on the [STRIKE]lies[/STRIKE] stretched truths that they put on their application forms :)

I can't imagine that anyone truly serious about business would apply to go on the programme, but I don't believe that's the true point of it anyway. Its solely for entertainment purposes!

Dry ice sounds a touch drastic - ending up in A & E seems a bit worse than being too hot (-:
