You could contact the local education authority to let it to teachers moving into the area or just starting to work in London? Might be better if some older employed types with a steady income are paying the rent for you. :)
We could..... but the 1st reason is a retreat for us with a top up of income to cover maintenance etc from W/E holiday lets (adult Londoners is the target customer) so we only intend to make available 1 or 2 w/e per month at the start......it will show on TA as red/fully booked when we are there).
If we get broke, then we would let her out permanently.

Vitamin tablets don't really do anything useful except make you poorer. You get more bang for your buck buying a good selection of fruit and veg.

I take vitamins with minerals as my water is devoid of essential trace minerals. I'm also not that good at eating a variety of fruit and veg.

So are you planning to be there to rescue lost people at 3am?

I would think the overheads for week end letting would be high, having to clean the place from top to bottom for a weekend let sounds expensive.

Has anyone ever had any treatment to eradicate thread veins and the like? A friend was talking about a groupon deal they had. I wondered if these beautician deals work or whether you really need proper medical equipment and people.

I have to take vits and mins when I don't eat enough for long periods of time.

Hope you are doing better than dh's well paid dept trainee who has gone on a jolly without completing work for dh's tight deadline.

Such a shame to ruin his nice weekend :(. I'll be fuming if this chaps poor time management ruins my weekend with DH too once he's hauled back.

I cannot actually tell what this looks like. Is it my eyes or a bad picture please?

Got bunting at the ready, about to make sausage rolls and the sunshine is here as ordered. Going to be a lovely day tomorrow! (although ruddy rented garden chairs haven't arrived.....)
(ps, if any NP are nearby, they are welcome to come along but it's a bit of a trek for most of you.)
Ask people to bring their own chairs :)

I can't BELIEVE you rented chairs..... blimey - that's mega posh. I thought people only rented chairs for posh weddings.

I've got my own chair I could bring for a sausage roll... but I am too far away.

    Have a good day

someone mentioned tips and I forgot about that too.....I wanted to ask you about the furren students as , when London Suburb house is finished I was going to fill it up with them to wipe out the mortgage......just don't know If I can face it. Are they quite demanding ?
I was hoping for some late teens who can't stand adults asking inane questions so just chomp down their food and scuttle up to their rooms with their ipads.
I also am worried about the ones who go away for the 1st time and end up getting stranded in Leicester Sq at 3am...so we have to get up and go pick them up.
I know there is no such thing as easy money but I keep looking ;)
There are different types and different rules. Depends on the type of school; some hosting is to give them an "English family experience" with you expected to talk to them and involve them. You're obviously going for the 18+ ones, my experience is only of the younger ones.

With the younger ones, they had to be delivered/collected from the coach each day, what you fed them was written down (outline of a packed lunch being 2 sandwiches, fruit, cake bar, drink; evening meal being hot and two courses).

Most will have limits such as max per bedroom, or max per property and not mixing them with people from other schools.

The rules for younger ones I ran was: No more than 3/bedroom; boys and girls not allowed in the same house (that's the foreign ones, what kids the families had was of no concern). What they didn't want was [a] any shenanigans the ability for quieter ones to only speak in their mother tongue to their friends and to be able to avoid speaking in English to the family.
