I know it's tomorrow.
All the threads on the Internet make the prep sound truly terrible. It sounds like a dose of food poisoning. Today has been surprisingly 'pleasant' by comparison. I've had worse times at some people's homes :rotfl:
Anyway, if this is the worst bit I'm beginning to think I might actively enjoy tomorrow.PasturesNew wrote: »I know.... it's definitely a case of me never knowing "people".... if I'd been born in London I'd have been a millionaire
It seems in London you just have to wake up and scratch your nuts and somebody's paying you to do that all day ..... (probably on webcam though).
Our business hasn't been about where we live at all...as it has been sold worldwide due to the internet and, really, we could be based anywhere in terms of product development.0 -

Is it true that you get cystitis from having 'too much' sex? I have never had it......so can't have ever had 'too much'
too much, don't believe there is such thing, but rough sex,or lots of sex, certainly.
Good luck...you sound kinda positive in your posts. How are you feeling now?
positiveI guess. Up and down really. Life is life. You go wild spending more than you have fixing a house but you get to see you insides. You win some you lose some. It's a lesson in taking the rough with the( hopefully) smooth and looking for the silver linings. And taking EPNS when you cannot afford silver
I wouldn't have said it was geographical...but the 'London Mindset' (or living in the 'Crud Suburban Bit') may have something to do with having that 'push' to action the ideas...I mean growing up in London you see 'IT' all around you and wonder how to get some for yourself. Maybe that is the London Effect?

You know what. I do think London mind set is special. It's not just London, but its concentrated in London and in sone other artsy capitals , That push and verve, and drive and grit. It's pushed as a criticism but really its something tremendous.0 -
Amongst other things
Its just a general disturbance of the normal bacteria - they are overrun by ones that are normally kept under control.
Faint of heart, look away now.
In a healthy person, there's no bacteria in the bladder at all, and precious few in the urethra. The bladder empties completely so the inner walls touch.
If bacteria get in they break down the urea to ammonia and the pH goes up to 11 which is why it would be so iritating to wee. The bacteria that invade the bladder are highly mobile ones.
Not had it (but it's rarer in blokes anyway). Don't want it either!:eek:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I suspect NDG earns more per word than you do for the whole thing - it probably helps focus the mind....
Still got tension headache that started last night (after working too much in the hot sun and probably getting dehydrated. Haven't had one for a while; and painkiller are refusing to shift it
I still have some prescription painkillers if you want them?0 -

I know what you mean.:) Tiring though...
Also, if PN is around...I think sometimes it 'takes 2'.
One to have the 'mmmm why don't we do.....' or 'I've had an idea....' then a second who says 'mmmm that's a possibility' and then actions some 'doing' on it to get it going.
The 2 people then work in tandem...one of the 2 can get a bit jaded or a bit bored with the grind of actioning the idea (their thing) whilst the other enjoys the hard work of executing it (because the doing is easier than the thinking_)
I know that is how OH and I work together...neither of us would be where we are now without the 2 different work ethics combined.
We went down to Margate Sat and went to the talk by Wayne Hemingway on the Dreamland project. He started out similar to us years ago (but is waaay more successful) ...it was very inspiring.0 -

I don't get paid per word, exactly. But I take the general point!
Sun / dehydration headaches don't get shifted by painkillers. Lots of sipped water and an early night?I need to learn to write like you, only done 1500 words of my essay
spent the weekend in london seeing friends, was v nice.
this week is planning for a party at home. may have left it too late to order things (organisation at home is not my strong point)
It's a different sort of writing, really. It needs to be precise, concise and accurate, and right, but not tied together in quite the same way as an essay....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Cystitis is one of those things I know about from far too much personal experience. A lot of people have a sort of weakness - something they get when they are tired, run down, ill with something else. Some people get an ear infection, or tonsils hurt, and I get cystitis. So do my mother and one of my sisters.
I first started getting it when I was about 8, and far too often since then.
Lots of sex is definitely one of the risk factors, though. I think it used to be called the honeymoon disease? Something like that, anyway.
I get two types - one is an infection, and worse, and the other is sort of bladder inflamation, for some other reason, and not as bad. Fortunately, the infection type is rarer for me.
Cystitis is one of those man flu things - women get it much more, men get it more badly if they do get it, and all the nasty remedies say "women only, men go to the GP"....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I guess in terms of plumbing, maybe if a man he's cystitis is something that might need investigating if it becomes more frequent? That or there is something not very man-friendly in the offer the counter treatment...0
