Tragic case, he was a troublemaker/drunk. He asked me on a date and I refused, but our paths crossed in various bars 10 years ago or so.
7 times the drink-driving limit - he must have been an alcoholic of impressive proportions.
I did a case a few years ago where a regular drinker was unconscious at 3 times the limit, god only knows how much you have to drink daily to get to the point where 7 x is possible....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Mainly Michaels/zagu ... as they have history on this matter.
£75 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerms/HUAWEI+G300.htm - that's what was recommended before. Do you still recommend this? I was keen on camera quality to be able to more easily take "snaps" when out and about.
Then.... if I walk into that shop and buy one:
[a] how do I get it connected up to a service provider?
which provider/service is best?
I'd be wanting to use it for all sorts of internet stuff, checking, route-finding, uploading images I'd snapped to flickr...
If you give this the thumbs up and tell me how to get connected, I might have the courage to get it tomorrow.

[a] you get a SIM only contract or PAYG. Either buy through a real phone shop/ supermarket on the High Street or online. michaels can prob direct you to a cashback site that will give you money back too.

I am trying to get my head round this and think my idea of the units in drinks and limits must be wrong (still).0 -

They say O2, but, bizarrely, I don't get a signal for that in my house. Well, I didn't for that broadband dongle I was trying. That's one of the troubles with phones - it's hit and miss if you get a signal/whose and if you pick the right one.0 -

I've a feeling there's a version with a better camera coming out any day now. Just a bit over £100 IIRC.
Anyhoo, i't's locked to Vodafone so you'd need a VF SIM. Or talkmobile which I did. Had to change a couple of settings. Ovivomobile might be worth using as well and maybe giffgaff's usable. I only spend a couple of quid a month as Talkmobile's PAYG's cheap and I use the wifi wherever I am.
It's fine and I can read books on it (and even read threads like this but I'd hate to post using it).
Does anyone use this app:http://tvcatchup.com/android.html
Btw, other threads whink my username sounds Russian but you've made it sound Romanian! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Always sounded yugoslav to me.
I have been a tv catchup user for ages o the PC and have the android ap but it has always seemed a bit hit and miss.
PN you need to decide how much data you actually need - at home you can transfer everything via wifi/cable so it is only photo upload /watching tv/browsing on the go that you will need a large data bundle for.
I will have a quick look at phones later - what is your budget - less than 70 quid and you are not going to get a usable camera but 150 quid and you will get a great one.I think....0 -
