As soon as it was finished the nurse said "errrrr book another appointment to see the doctor" and almost ran out of the room taking the print out with her and leaving me to rip off the 10 or so sticky tabs she had attached to me. I am not sure whether I am dying or she was just very busy today.
At my GP the ECG is usually reported to the GP straight away if there is any concern, they ask you to wait and see you then.
Hope all is well.0 -

No, no windows. It's about ten feet wide by15 feet or so long. I cannot guard the height. It was waist height on an average height man today...:o
If I were a kid I would have loved it.....as an adult the obvious 'storage space' seems so sad...like the end of all that's good and fun in life.0 -
Viva,
Sorry to hear about the shortage of professional and the effect it is having on you.
Some of the common reasons why there is a mismatch:
Too many with that specialty skill on holiday/study leave/non-clinical commitments/ teaching (exams a big issue)
Too few of that skill overall due to vacancies/ maternity and no locum/sickness
Too small a hospital to provide adequate cross cover/ not sufficient capacity for emergency vs elective
It is a weekend/night and the only medical staff rostered to work a shift are Juniors. So there is someone who can do the cutting but the other one is an 'on-call' Consultant.0 -

The right thing to do would be to put wardrobe doors on the front, fake snow and a little lamp-post at the back and let all visiting kids go to Narnia. Yours would then be the coolest place to visit for any children. I'd love to have some bonkers feature like that. Not easy in a house built in the 90s.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've had to call it a day now. My feet are so swollen I can hardly walk. I'd like to wobble out with dh to bring the geese in, so trying to keep feet up for the next while......bed is really tempting right now though!
We flew back overnight - my feet and ankles were very swollen and I could'nt put my shoes on so travelled across Paris and home to regional airport in Pink flip flops:o. Looked cheap and daft.
Wore compression stockings, drank lots of water, flexed feet, had a foot/leg massage at Dubai prior to boarding.
Still a bit on the big side now - but my slipper fit. Hope feet are closer to right size by tomorrow as I have an appointment and will have an exercise test and then have to be at work. Slippers and flip flops are not going to be suitable.
Didn't buy pearls - fear of being ripped off put me off even going to look. I do have a new handbag though it is this one:

He was good. The first support band (I think they were locals) weren't hideous, but were (unintentionally) pretty funny. I think they were trying to tick off as many rock'n'roll cliches as possible.
I've decided that unless I have other plans, I'm going to buy tickets to see anyone I don't actively dislike (e.g. the Levellers are playing soon, will be giving that a miss). I'm considering it as my civic duty to support bands (and comedians) venturing to the little market town I find myself in0 -
Please do P/M me if I can help advise in the pearl department....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

A snug reading room, where you nestle down on giant beanbags and read.
And/or a small library ..... store all the books there, on 3' bookshelves, freeing up living space.0 -
