:D It happens to me and I'm not 60 :o

So full, we had guests for dinner and as a rule, I ALWAYS over-cater. It isn't possible for me to cook just enough food. We have no starters (made potstickers so only the meat to be cooked with rice), probably about 4 portions of pork in cider and 2 portions of potatoes and we have 4 portions of desert left  (1x eton mess, 3x rhubarb fool).

I don't see how you can not over-cater in those circumstances. We always have left-overs from meals. Then we eat the leftovers, and we always have leftovers of the leftovers. All that happens is that they get shuffled into smaller and smaller dishes in the fridge.

Anyway, rhubarb fool is a great thing to have left. One of my favourites.

Pretty Woman was fabulous (as ever). Think it's only that and Dirty Dancing where I can quote the next line.

Do any of the NPs know where I left my Kindle? I thought it was by my bed, and even though I have a book to read I can't go to sleep without it. Talk about OCD! Plus going away tomorrow, and must have the kindle.

Edit: That reminded me - I had already packed it. You see how helpful asking the NPs is.

Edit: And this will happen to you, too, when you reach 60. :p
Nope it happens to me as well already. And I'm 53 . For about another 5 minutes

I had a rhubarb dilemma earlier in the week...
Bought a fair amount of rhubarb yogurt on Monday (see story about misplacing credit and nectar cards), then there a huge amount of rhubarb really cheap in waitrose (see post about mental effort and meals). In the end I decided that was more that enough rhubarb for one week and didn't buy any real rhubarb. Good call - the yogurt is very rhubarby and pretty sharp.

Rhubarb freezes really well. We often give most of ours away as we don't really like it all that much. I can tolerate it for about 3-4 things a year and that's it :o Shame it's so prolific in the allotment!

I need to make more room in my freezer - it is completely full at the moment, so I'm having to pass up on things I might otherwise have bought.

That or I need to find somewhere to buy so I can have my very own freezer :)

Rhubarb crumble and custard is amazing.
Is is rhubarb that is a vegetable rather than a fruit? I didn't say anything about savoury in desserts :D

Edit: those other bits down the right hand side sound a whole lot like our friend Zagubov too :)
