.... Oh ... but he IS a diamond!!!

    :)

....on the wiki list if you get to your 85th, you only get wine.... I mean ....wine? How old would one have to be to get to 85th anniversary? About 105 I guess and all you get is a drop of wine.

We CBA with our silver one in Feb 2012 as we were saving every penny..and this year we didn't bother with the 26th as we were buying the retreat house and saving every penny.
I wonder what 27th is? If it's something nice maybe we'll have a 'do' down Margate :) It may be a theme that could link to home furnishings ..that would be handy.

For our silver anniversary we treated ourselves to this (vw):

You would both have to be 105+, probably no-one has ever reached it and kept enough of their marbles enough to appreciate it.

As an act of true love..I have taken tomorrow off so that i can take Mr S to the dentist and to be in charge of him afterwards.
He has told me his appointment is not until the afternoon (which I knew) and he is at work in the morning (which I did not know). Feel cheated as DD will be home until 11am when she goes off to Uni so I won't even have a peaceful morning.

I think you are still owed something silver.

We went to the Maldives for our 25th. Recommended.

    OK deal for you PN.
Once it is finished to 'visitor spec' (estimate March 2014) I need to have about 6 or 7 trial weekenders/holiday people to do a test run for me in it.....the whole thing from scratch....and then write a trip advisor type review...honest one....before we launch it onto the GBP and strrrangers. So, you up for a Posh weekend away next spring? All free except for your travel ......I'll put plenty of raw veg, fresh fruit and some quality carbs like Quinoa in the cupboard for you so you won't even have to get any food in :).

In fact this offer (minus the Quinoa) is open to any NP but they would have to have considered Margate as a destination for a trip in the 1st place even out of curiosity, as the people we would rent to have chosen to visit the place.

It does have an edge to it that may not suit all tastes.
Yes, yes, yes.... I am up for that :)
    I'll LOVE it!

You'd also get a bunch of "I stayed here .... and thought it was great" links in random places for some years to come too.

I'd intended to write some stuff about Margate as part of a linked series, so that'd be handy as I can take some snaps down the beach (if it's not peeing down).

    :)

I hate LinkedIn.... I don't want to be linked in with anybody/company in my past.... if they were that great they'd still be in my life.

OH is on LinkedIn, but hadn't used it for years. DS1 decided to create a LinkedIn profile as part of his job search. He naturally wanted to link to Daddy to show a good connection. So OH logs in, has a quick squint around and finds someone that used to work for him 10 years ago is looking to move jobs. Wind forward a few months and he now works for him again.

    So it works.

I think the oldest couple have recently got to their 80th. They made it to the news and I saw a re-run of that interview on the Russell Howard comedy program where he was laughing at the way the woman was talking to/of her bloke :)

Old girl definitely booked in for tomorrow. So certain that this is the time I have booked the hunt to come and collect her little body.

I think we have the timing just right. She is still comfortable and getting great joy out of meals, but some changes have occurred that make me feel that while she shows no pain response now she would within a few days. We have a sudden rush of foot growth ....not unusual in spring, but I fear this is more likely to be something more sinister and would be very painful if it happened.

Very content we have now got the timing right. Thank good ness.

Hope tomorrow is bearable for you.

We are off to a funeral tomorrow. Subject to a preliminary inquest. Why the coroner insists on an inquest on a very, very old person I don't know.
