ooops maybe not afterall....just went and announced the plan to OH (who now hides away in his new dedicated telly room that we built) who said 'no we couldn't possibly tell that to my family as we'll get all sorts of horrors bought for us'. Meant in the nicest possible way of course but he has got a point.

Fantastic :) I can link a 'sculpture' theme to all sorts of useful gifts.
OK, will start planning it now, get a date booked (so all the various family members can put it in their diaries 9 months ahead).

Off to watch Apprentice now on record.....anyone seen it yet?

Did I miss the apprentice again?? Thought it was on Wednesdays, not Tuesdays.

And yes, sculpture! Have you been to the Wood Store in Brighton? I love it (although you may not, if you like modern metal things).

This September we are celebrating our Pearl anniversary:j:j:j. NDG has offered to give me advice so I am more informed on what to buy, as my husband would like 'us' to have new string, (and I haven't the heart to disappoint him);). I would like to look and possibly buy in Dubai next week but am worried about getting 'ripped off'.
Just found a wiki with a list.....checking the best year to celebrate

Write a "Who's Who on Facebook" - create a new celeb status for the chavs to aspire to .... they'll lap it up :)

One of the blokes at work a while back got sent something saying he was the 10th most linked to person in Aus on LinkedIn.

They didn't seem to want money or anything.

I've had a text from Tesco that my £3.60 camping chair is at the store - so tomorrow I will go and get that. Hope it's dry so I can try it out outside. That's life in the slow lane for you :)

I hate LinkedIn.... I don't want to be linked in with anybody/company in my past.... if they were that great they'd still be in my life.

I'll message you a link to the RM listing. The street view on it is grim as was about 3 years ago I think and all the takeaways are gone now.
I think I know the wood store...I like most things that are interesting and are nice to look at whatever they are made from really.

Doh, as we are not the photo generation, we forgot to take 'before' pics and just got on with the rip out. Double doh(!).

Got a pack of old deeds and stuff, fascinating so I am going to get them scanned and made into wallpaper for one wall somewhere in it. Turns out she was built in 1821 (not 1896 as the surveyor said) and there were damp issues in the basement in 1948 as one solicitor had written to the buyer about it (in ye olde typewriter text on a bit of feathery A5.)

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    OK deal for you PN.
Once it is finished to 'visitor spec' (estimate March 2014) I need to have about 6 or 7 trial weekenders/holiday people to do a test run for me in it.....the whole thing from scratch....and then write a trip advisor type review...honest one....before we launch it onto the GBP and strrrangers. So, you up for a Posh weekend away next spring? All free except for your travel ......I'll put plenty of raw veg, fresh fruit and some quality carbs like Quinoa in the cupboard for you so you won't even have to get any food in :).

In fact this offer (minus the Quinoa) is open to any NP but they would have to have considered Margate as a destination for a trip in the 1st place even out of curiosity, as the people we would rent to have chosen to visit the place.

It does have an edge to it that may not suit all tastes.
