Could you freecycle it?
Ours was second hand - our vicar gave it to us when his kids grew out of it - and it'll last for years yet. I bought it a new circular pad to cover the springs, and a new net, but the actual trampoline itself is incredibly hard wearing, and they're very expensive, too.
I looked on ebay and people were listing for 99p and getting no bids
It would need a new circular pad and a net (if people are bothered).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. OK I just joined the local freecycle group - called "trash nothing" hope that is right.
It won't let me see previous posts! So someone could have asked for a trampoline earlier today and I wouldn't know.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I need to do the same. At the moment all it is used for is tree pruning - I feel safer standing on that than on a ladder. It really needs to go.
It is an effort to dismantle (how long did it take you?), further effort to take to the tip. I feel someone could have good use out of it.
Another thread we're on, someone was putting one up (and I left a comment about the Circle of life!) but mine was too dilapidated and decrepit to put on freecycle.
Edit: yeah the plastic sheet you use for filling waste sacks is called a refuse sack loader! £8.50 would you beleive and that's one of the cheaper ones. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Good weekend here. Not much booze, as we are not big drinkers. I think the sum total for me was a pint of 'swift one' in the pub where we had dinner on Friday, a Pimms at the fete and a shandy yesterday.Glorious sunny couple of days though. Yesterday the 30 year old son of my late friend came for lunch and brought his gf. I liked her...she had her own style, pink hair, lots of piercings (had to get my head in the right place as I have strong aversion - which I managed:))and tattoos and was very personable.
Today was homely lazy day, the RSPCA visitor came and signed us off with having a "nice set up" and DD went and collected the two bunnies she had reserved. Our neighbours daughter and her 2 year old popped round..and she had made us another cake. A sort of 'black forest' themed cake with creme fraiche. SiL come down for lunch . I had cooked a gammon joint of about 5lb which we served as Ham, eggs and HM chips. HM chips are a rare treat as I have to cook them in a roasting tray at the top of the top oven and the can be a bit hit and miss. Pudding was the neighbours cake, a coffee and walnut cake from the fete ot leftover fruit salad from yesterday. Sil left about three and we just sat out in the garden for a while. Tea will be...ham...and cake. I also made a pot of pea soup for the freezer and braised a couple of lamb shanks which will be dinner tomorrow.
Zag - I never thought I would get to a point in life when I could just 'sit in the garden' and it is still a novelty .0 -
When I was out today I saw a watch I quite liked. I noted the web address on the box and thought I'd look at it at leisure at home and think about it. Really annoyed that the company exists but the website doesn't seem to. It's a main part of the design of their packaging too.0

Confused me to. Isn't there 2 little ones, a girl and a boy and didn't michaels post recently about cutting the little boy's hair?Yesterday the 30 year old son of my late friend came for lunch and brought his gf. Well done for getting your head round her appearance. Glad she was nice.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
We had lunch in a country pub and then had a walk around Stanborough Lakes.
I don't know exactly what sort of climbing frame they are building where the outdoor pool was, but it is scarily high.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I could make watches, never really known if there's an actual market for them or if the market is purely in brand names and those with a leather/proper watch strap.
It was called hot tomato. The watch had a very thin white strap and an octagonal face. It was either very nice or very horrid...I could not decide which ( which is why I wanted to think about it).
I have that live hate draw to lots of things. Like.....things in the kitchen that say what's in them 'tea' 'coffee' and so on. And the colour blue.0 -

So, unusually for me, rather than adding nothing to the thread, I said nothing.
I actually thought there were four...inc a dss. But I might have imagined the dss. I have no actual memory of a mention of a dss.0 -

I dunno abput markets for watches. I very rarely wear them but have a few. There are some that have amazing ribbon straps that appeal too. What will probably happen is I will sort out a strap and battery for an existing watch. I cannot choose which lucky watch should get the new battery this time.0
