Dismantled the trampoline that dominated our back garden and took it down the tip. DD is home for one night and we're having a roast dinner. Ferried DS back and forth. Walked the dog. Marked some work.
Read nothing recreational and watched no telly. Need to learn how to get some me time.:beer:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Missk,
Are have you got nice things to take to hospital? Are you staying on for a bit? I have started packing a bag for my day procedure in case something goes wrong and I need to study in. I am still very chilled about it.

I need to do the same. At the moment all it is used for is tree pruning - I feel safer standing on that than on a ladder. It really needs to go.
It is an effort to dismantle (how long did it take you?), further effort to take to the tip. I feel someone could have good use out of it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Could you freecycle it?
Ours was second hand - our vicar gave it to us when his kids grew out of it - and it'll last for years yet. I bought it a new circular pad to cover the springs, and a new net, but the actual trampoline itself is incredibly hard wearing, and they're very expensive, too.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
michaels...I am confused...hope I am not prying..off to see DS2 where? Isn't DS2 one of the DKs?
I think he may be using DS to mean sister as well as son. I'm not sure if it's his sister or his wife's sister, though, and I could be completely wrong anyway. I'm fairly sure michaels only has one son, so DS2 can't mean second son.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Confused me to. Isn't there 2 little ones, a girl and a boy and didn't michaels post recently about cutting the little boy's hair?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
