Ok, who broke the site?We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Horrible journey down to Kent - pouring with rain, wind howling, spray everywhere. And when we got here, bit depressing to see my mother wearing a hat, 2 jumpers and a cardigan (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

It's May, so the heating is off? You can't persuade her otherwise? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Yes, and no. I'm going to attempt persuasion tomorrow, or just find the "on" switch, anyway....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Just finding the 'on' switch will work for the weekend whilst you're there, but afterwards ma will find the 'off' switch PDQ.
My experience is that there's nothing more obstreperous than parents being told what to do by their children. (I mean 'advised', of course.)No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Perhaps I should work on my Dad instead, get him to want it on?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Fearing something terminal, we wanted to bring it home when it broke down near Inverness, at a cost of nearly a grand. Our lovely merc fitter wandered in, looked at it for about 2 minutes, then plugged said wiring back in...... and
I have had that :o experience. Mr S was away from a Friday over a weekend and the heating broke down:mad:. The boiler was working as we still had hot water and could cook but it was cold in the house. I left ringing the plumber until Sunday night. Lovely plumber rang back and said although he was booked he would pop in the next day.
After work the next day I got home to a lovely warm house and a note from the plumber. He had turned the thermostat up:o0 -
Allegedly under EU law if you are sick whilst on prebooked annual leave you can take additonal days instead. Do you think anyone has ever had the brass to try and claim this one?!
Yes. A lot. If sickness absence is recorded over already booked holiday on our system....it cancels the holiday.0
