That's when I'm at my most tasty to insects who seem to like feasting on my vegetarian blood:o. This is the whole root of why I wanted a sleepout. A room that I can open the front of, with fly screens, enjoy the breezes and so forth but without having to go out in the sun.

I'm really losing the battle against my garden this year. I am also having trouble with my hip. So finding a day that is a) overcast b) not raining c) where my hip isn't playing up is a nightmare. I have just looked out the window and know that I have about 4 hours work out there just to get it straight.

The docs don't know what is wrong with my hip, other than that I don't have arthritis. The pain comes and goes and when it comes it is sufficiently debilitating that I can't walk. I've had xrays and examinations and what have you but to no avail. I probably need an MRI at some point, but they are expensive so for the moment I'll have to make do with being prodded a bit more. It is very annoying.
Good insect repellents? Inviting nicer tasting friends round for the evening?

    Diet not going well? <ducks>

Allegedly Viva coudl see a few snowflakes overnight tonight

We have a pathetic flymo that we got when our lawn was 25x13 in our old house, it isn't really up to our new garden that is about 20x the size and the plastic blades are always breaking or flying off but it refuses to break down completely so there is no justification to get a new one.

DW irons at least 3 hours a week - with an ordinary iron that would be 6+ hours. I offer to some of it but apparently she would rather do it and complain than risk anyone else do some - we tried getting someone in, they did about 1/10th of DWs 3 hour ouput in 3 hours and then DW did it all over cos it wasn't up to her standard.

No... Not snow!!!!!! Please, it is nearly Summer:eek:

Re the Flymo, mine is one with a huge metal 'don't mess with me' type blade. Somewhat chillingly, I heard the tornado in Oklahoma described as a Flymo with a blade a mile and a half wide. How totally horrid and desperately frightening for those involved.

Have you had a dexa scan? Could it be osteoperosis?

No dexa scan. I haven't heard of it actually. Re vitamin D, I don't take supplements and reading up on this as michaels has prompted me to, I probably should. I do go in the sun, but my exposure is less than most people.

The other thing I need to ask them to check is my lymph glands as it is where skin cancer goes to. However I only have potentially pre-cancerous cells there, it wasn't where my excision was. That's scary though. My head is a bit in the sand for the moment while I rule everything else out. If it was lymph glands, it should be going through the ones in my underarm, not those in my groin if that makes sense.

I've been avoiding this. Have a 10'x12' bit of grass.... and the bugg4h's grown. So at some point, when it's dry, I have to go out and buy some shears, then cut it.... not looking forward to that at all :(

I just went out and attempted to strim my front lawn (as in garden, not anything else rude!)....the blooming strimmer ran out of charge halfway through, so now I have one half nice and one half jungle like.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Firstly it is lucky it is your front garden you are talking about otherwise it might be a very odd look.

Secondly battery strimmers cost about 3x corded ones so 'posh alert' time.
    I think....

Precancerous cells (in lymph nodes or not) are pretty common. Once you start looking for cancer, you generally find them. You'll worry,of couse, but at most they really mean you need to watch more closely.

Edit: sue, if you shape it a bit you can say the uncut bit is a wildflower meadow..

Not at all a posh alert....it was a whoopsie, someone had priced them incorrectly and I took advantage of the fact. It cost me the same as a normal run of the mill strimmer :D

Client popped on this morning to ask if I had any thoughts on their emails....

    'Yer what?'

Hotmail strikes again. There seems a good chance I am not getting more than one persons emails. :(

Over here a 'wildflower meadow' is simply a haven for snakes.

I left the bit of grass down the side of our house next to the pavement uncut. In the end Mrs Generali sent me out in boots, gloves, jeans, long sleeves and a hat to chop it down because she didn't want to waste the weekend taking me to the hospital.

A bite off a proper snake takes 10 years from your life expectancy.

You live in Oz. You can't even trust your toilet in Oz. There might be a spider in it.
