A swing/big band version of Nirvana's 'smells like teen spirit' is either absolute genius or very, very wrong.
And I can't decide which....
Well how about Clocks by Gregorian chant
or Blue Monday bossanova style.

Blue Monday bossanova style is definitely just wrong.

What music have the NP been listening to lately?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

The last three songs to play on my ipod were Morrissey (everyday is like Sunday), Morrissey (November spawned a monster) and Bobby Womack (across 110th street). I listened to that lot in the gym, god knows how I was able to stay motivated through the first two.
I am woefully out of touch with modern music.0 -

Bus stopped at a hypermarket, went in, got back on the coach, then we were set free somewhere for an hour, where we walked round in gloomy weather, then back on the coach.
So .... that doesn't really count... and it might have been Belgium.... wherever that is. Not sure, it was about 35 years ago.
Go to France. Turn left. Keep going until you get to Belgium....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I never thought I 'd be one of those people who looked aghast. and said ' what are they even singing, what are the lyrics?' And not when still not old.....0 -
Guilty pleasures:
I quite liked the big band and the Bossa Nova. Not so keen on Gregorian Coldplay though.
I really liked the Netherlands entry for Eurovision. It isn't at all a Eurovision song but I thought it quite lovely:
