    Young. :D

Take a listen to some samples....

A swing/big band version of Nirvana's 'smells like teen spirit' is either absolute genius or very, very wrong.

    And I can't decide which.... :)

Well how about Clocks by Gregorian chant
or Blue Monday bossanova style.

Breakfasts' a coffe and sometimes porridge. Never anything like bacon and eggs. Which I'd love.

Only if you don't know who Trini Lopez is. Apparently he's 76 today.
For the youngsters among us..... You may not know the name but I bet you know some of his hits :)

Blue Monday bossanova style is definitely just wrong. :)

Speaking of which, we had a good thread ages ago from either dopester or cleaver, cant remember which, about what are we listening to.

What music have the NP been listening to lately?

    Who dear?

    Me dear?

The last three songs to play on my ipod were Morrissey (everyday is like Sunday), Morrissey (November spawned a monster) and Bobby Womack (across 110th street). I listened to that lot in the gym, god knows how I was able to stay motivated through the first two.

I am woefully out of touch with modern music.

I did sort of go once somewhere... somebody I knew had a works' bus trip. Got on a coach with a special "one day pass" passport thing you just signed. Bus stopped at a hypermarket, went in, got back on the coach, then we were set free somewhere for an hour, where we walked round in gloomy weather, then back on the coach.

So .... that doesn't really count... and it might have been Belgium.... wherever that is. Not sure, it was about 35 years ago.

Go to France. Turn left. Keep going until you get to Belgium.

I am meant to be listening to the MP3 player dh has finally prepared for me, but I cannot quite work it out.

The new depeche mode album is getting a bit of play time but the last thing on today was a classical album compilation of Hungarian dances ( Brahms, but also beyond......)

I never thought I 'd be one of those people who looked aghast. and said ' what are they even singing, what are the lyrics?' And not when still not old.....

    Guilty pleasures:

I quite liked the big band and the Bossa Nova. Not so keen on Gregorian Coldplay though.

I really liked the Netherlands entry for Eurovision. It isn't at all a Eurovision song but I thought it quite lovely:
