I would come to a meet up and me is happy to be pm'd details.
In rl I have met Pastures and on the day gave my somewhat more grounded name in a pm..as I am the least Spirit like body you would ever meet...and to be called it in rl would be ludicrous. If anyone wants to be known by their nom de plume that is fine by me.
Would not bring Mr S although he may have a view about me going off to meet a group of allegedy friendly pixels off the interweb. Nothing wrong with him , or NP, I just would like my own time with you and it would take too long to bring him up to speed on all of the 'chat'.0 -

How about gloves being parting gifts? If you give gloves you must put a coin with them for the return journey.
It's easier when it is variations on a theme rather than directly contradictory though!
Not heard that one about gloves, but I never ever put shoes (new or otherwise) on a table.0 -

Agreed. I'm considering creating a disposable email address for the purpose. Then if things get scary, I can discontinue it.
I haven't got a HAB to bring. Last time we met up it was daytime, at a venue where there was lots to do, and I brought my kids, as did another NP. I wouldn't bring them to a meal in a pub in the evening, though. Some people brought their WAG/HABs, and others didn't, according to whether the WAG/HABs wanted to come.
If anybody wants to give me a name tag saying Lydia, I'll happily wear it.
I'd recommend this website for such an account. You can have lots of choices of names. www.mail.com
I'd never ask anyone to give away their identity. There's other threads where everyone uses proper names (if that's what they are).

NDG I have learnt a lot about pearls. Thank you.
My 'best string' are a rope of creamy round ones that I have had for about 20 years. They were a gift from OH. I have no idea what they are called.0 -

Ooooooh nooooooo ...... you'd be asking to be laid out in them,
Nor should one sleep with feet towards a door for much the same reason.
Superstitions are often contradictory.
In some countries black cats are lucky but in others just the opposite.
We consider owls wise but others think they're bad luck.0 -
This is Chris Hadfield of the ISS...amazing, heroic and moved me close to tears as I thought about where he was, what they do and the sheer guts it must take.

My mum told me that you're not supposed to buy pearls for yourself (/ oneself:))?
I bought myself a Tahitian pearl pendant. It's a beautiful black pearl set in white gold with a small smattering of diamonds. It cost me a reasonable amount about 10 years ago, but I've looked up the more recent prices and they seem to have become way more expensive since then.
I had to buy it for myself, DH would never spend that much! Now I never wear it because I'm too scared of damaging it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
