Get a 2tb one and you won't have that problem again. Unless of course you never watch anything you record. We used to have terrible trouble when we went on holiday but since we got the previous big drive one (1Tb) we've never gone over 60%, ever after a few weeks away. Every now and again Sky has them on offer. I think we paid £40 for ours.

If we had just deleted the whole of the xfactor from 2012 before we went on holiday everything would have been fine! We're cancelling our sky anyway as the new place doesn't have a sky dish and love film is cheaper.

I know some threads where I'm sure everybody's an AE. You ask after people who haven't posted in six months and within a day all have checked in to say hi.:rotfl:

I've got 5 jobs. I don't have time for an AE. I'm too busy trying to get my pennies to rub together. I don't understand how people have the time or why they bother to have the inclination. Unless they've been banned of course. I still miss mewbie:(.

They were having a Robbie Coltrane special on BBc 2. For a moment there, I thought he had died.

I'm going with a few mates to see the Specials at de Montford next weekend. If the weather is ok, was planning making a day of it.
Aside from Bosworth field (been there) what's nice to do in the area? What would make a decent day out?

As a PS, as Viva appears to be about, can I post the what's nice to do around Woolacombe question again? I recall she mentioned Lynton/Lynmouth being nice, so assume she's aware of the area?
Only been to Leicester once. Had one of the best curries i've ever had south of Manchester. Bit of a cliche but I have to eat curries at regular intervals or my tongue will think it's died.:)

No, you are often almost unbelievably self-disciplined and caring - more than I could ever hope to be - but it all rings true to me.

Awww. What a lovely thing to say. Not remotely accuate - my self-discipline is woefully inadequate - but gratifying all the same. Thank you. :)

If that is true then the bit about me and drugs can't be

When you and your wife and kids came to my house I spiked your drinks with a memory-altering drug that would make you think you'd been to visit a 40-something woman with a detached house and two kids, when really you'd only seen a spotty youth with a bedsit and two gerbils. Cinderella's fairy godmother has nothing on my powers. Mwah hah hah.

I didn't mean to suggest you (or any Nice People) were lying Lydia :eek:More that I wouldn't be able to understand if anyone did lie on the NPT - what would be the point? Granted, a lot of what we post is on the more mundane side (what I post definitely is), so doesn't lend itself so well to elaboration (I really did make pineapple upside down cakes in loose-bottomed cake tins on Thursday :)), but I don't get why anyone would make things up to post on here :o

I'd have to be really seriously good at disguises if I was really 16 and male - you've met me in person. So no, I didn't think you were suggesting I was lying. I was just reflecting on how our friendships on here take so much on trust, and how easy it would be for any of us to reinvent ourselves and claim to be all sorts of things that we're really not. Although I suspect it would be difficult to maintain for any length of time. Eventually things would start to give other NP a feeling of not adding up. And yes, I agree, what would be the point?
Chicken bang bang died today, she had a stroke. She was my last clicker trained chicken:(

So sorry to hear that, lir. Hugs.
I feel content that a fair few nice people have been here, met my dh...seen things here. What I don't like to answer ( here or in real life ) I DO ignore, evade or distract before lying, but would fudge details if required.

I don't think many people tell the truth and the whole truth. Some manage the nothing but the truth bit.

And so,e times truth is stranger than fiction! :rotfl:

Pretty much of what I say on here is true, although I censor everything I say and only put stuff that would be disastrous if all the world worked out it was me who'd said it. That's because my story is rather unusual, so I knew that as soon as I said what had happened to LNE that I'd never be able to regard "LydiaJ" as a properly anonymous pseudonym again. On other sites I do make quite a lot of minor alterations to incidental information - not to change the meaning of what I'm saying, but just to protect my anonymity, so that I can be free to say things about private stuff (like money) without worrying that people will work out it's me.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
