We received a telephone call last evening from the couple who are purchasing our Bungalow asking for another viewing around 10am this morning. They duly arrived just five minutes early and they were in a very chatty mood which was a very good sign, they told my OH and I that the people who are buying their property wanted to move in around the 9th April or thereabouts which is not many days away, I could see my OH starting to expell some heat with the thought of such an early date to achieve all that is required.

So we will be having a day out through to Trowbridge tomorrow starting early as we have two properties booked, one in Frome around 11.15am and the second in Trowbridge at around 3.15pm then we plan to try and fit in a run-around Westbury to see how we feel about this area.

So we are full steam ahead and will hope that the A36 around Salisbury is not running slow as it was midday today. Early to bed tonight.:)

Some of you will remember my posting a few days ago, where B&Q had credited my QUIDCO / Bank account with money from an item I'd never collected. Here is part of their reply.
Unfortunately we are unable to track this payment. We advise contacting QUIDCO customer services who will be able to assist you further in returning the payment.

They seem to be admitting they don't track QUIDCO Items  Then expect me to sort it out! It looks like GDB2222 is going to make a fortune on the fleet of Lawnmowers they ordered, and didn't collect:rotfl:

As for the £12 - I've just sent it to the Daisy Palmer Trust set up on behalf of the daughter of our old friend Inspector Monkfish, so the whole exercise hasn't been a complete waste of time, I hope B&Q are happy with that?

What people want - and what they get - tend to be completely different things once the solicitors and mortgage people get shuffling paper and asking questions.

While you are out and about, if you've a bit of spare time, drop into local lettings agents and find out if they are aware of any landlords that might take you on a short and fast-moving let between houses. All you need is one that's not rented yet...

There are no Mortgages involved on either side so that may shorten the time involvement so we will start packing in earnest on Thursday in fact my OH has stated already to take her mind of Tasha.

Yes we will work in time to call into a Letting Agency in Warminster if we get time. Good idea thanks...:)

I am having a really odd day. Have just been offered a holiday somewhere long haul...and very warm and relaxed. All we'd have to pay would be flights, and can take the dates pretty much at our convenience. It's not the private and secluded dream retreat, but its a pretty amazing opportunity. Would need to think though, as I am doubtful I will get medical insurance and long haul is a whole different gamble to short haul when you're not meanly to fly.

I thumbed through RM today. A house caught my eye. Too many compromises though:
    - £15k more than I've got.
    - Orientation is all wrong so the living room is always in shade/shadow and dark
    - Wrong location, by 0.5 mile, and up a street and round the back, past everybody's garages.
    - It doesn't have a garage, just a carport.

Too many important compromises there.... price and orientation being the two I couldn't overcome or excuse.
